Larry served as an aircraft mechanic at Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, La, working on KC-135A, EC-135C, and B-52G aircraft. Then he served as an aircraft maintenance instructor at Chanute AFB, Rantoul, IL for 3 years. After that he served 1 year at Bien Hoa AB, Vietnam. Upon his return to the US, he served at Minot AFB, Minot, ND.
