Age 67, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on March 15, 2018.

He is survived by his mother, Betty; sister, Karen and good friend, Mary Crane. He was predeceased by his father, Ed Flannery. Jeff attended VBHS and Western Kentucky University. Jeff served in the USAF as a Sergeant in Korea/Vietnam. He was employed by Central Windows. A service with military honors will be held 10 am, Saturday, April 7th at Memorial Island, Vero Beach. John “David” Devane passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007. He was born in Vero Beach, Florida, February 21, 1950 to parents, Woodrow and Carolyn Devane.

David is survived by his son, Travis Devane; brother, Carl Devane; sisters, Shirley Devane Hartley and Odessa Devane Bird; aunts, Carleen Bell and Bert Bass; and adopted sister, Denise Cortez.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Galveston Yellow Cab Driver for 20 years.

Karl Whittington, age 66, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2017. Karl graduated college with two degrees and shortly after joined the Air Force, where he served for 3 years, before being discharged with honors.
Karl was employed with the Dept. of Revenue for over 35 years as a computer analyst which he thoroughly enjoyed. His greatest accomplishments were his integrity and having a family.
He treated people with respect and was always offering a helping hand, he enjoyed building computers, loved to travel, and explore, especially when science and history were involved.
He is survived by his wife Denise Wood-Whittington, two sons; Dan Whittington (Karen) and Mike Whittington (Karlene) one stepdaughter, Kimberly Wood, and grandchildren; Kaiden, Mikayla, Halei, Cameron and Kadence, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Bevis Funeral Home, 2710 N. Monroe St. at 11:00am with a service to follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place June 27, 2017, 1:00pm at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.

Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) E. Hamilton, age 71 of Fellsmere, FL passed away on July 21, 2019 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, FL. He was a lifetime resident of Indian River County. Kenny graduated from Vero Beach High School (1965), soon after graduating he join the United States Navy, Kenny served 4 years (1966-1970) as a GMG2 on the U.S.S. Samuel B. Roberts (DD-823). Kenny then joined the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, where he served 30 years as a patrol deputy (1974-2004) before retiring as a Lieutenant.

Kenneth S Blanton Jr, 69 of Vero Beach, Fl passed away on February 24, 2019. He was born to the late Kenneth Sr and Mary Frances Blanton on November 24, 1949 in Live Oak, Florida. Ken graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1968, and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly dedicated 23 years of his life serving in the armed forces. He happily returned to his home state of Florida after retirement in 1992.
Survivors include his children, Kenneth S. Blanton III of Vero Beach and Theresa Capron-Tackett of Brooklet, GA; 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; a brother, Ronald Bernard Blanton Sr. of Sebastian, FL and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Funeral Service followed by Military Honors will begin at 5:00 PM. Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Myron Alan Davis, 65, of 140 Narrow Way, Dobson, passed away Sunday night, March 29, 2015, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Davis was born November 20, 1949, in Bath, ME, the son of the late George and Myrtle Louise Soule Davis. Myron was reared in Bath, ME, and Vero Beach, FL. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a disabled veteran, a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, and a member of Central Surry Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Robin Marie Horonzy Davis of the home; a son, Rory Davis of Raleigh; a stepdaughter, Hayley Lammon of Elkin; a stepson, Andrew Lammon of Dobson; a brother and two sisters-in-law, George "Skip" and Lynn Davis of Conway, SC, and Susie Davis of Florida; and two nephews, Adam Davis and Logan Davis. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Ellis Davis. A service of worship and celebration of Myron's life will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark A. Reece, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military honors by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Davis family.

Neil was married to Tami Whiting White on July 4, 2005.

Neil retired from Hogan and Sons in 2014 after a 38 year career as the Packing House Manager.

Survivors include his wife, Tami White; son, Kevin Neil White (Erin); step daughter, Lori Higdon (Trey); sister, Joan Baker (Rick); grandchildren, Austin Neil White, Jase Edwin White, Kaylynn and Lucas, Chandler Higdon and Avery Higdon; father -in-law and mother –in-law, Marvin and Gayle Whiting; brother -in -law, Dale Whiting (Jill) and many nieces and nephews. Neil was preceded in death by his parents, Austin White and Ruby Jerone White and his brother, Randy White.

Neil was a member of the Vero Beach Elks Lodge, the Italian American Civic Association, the American Legion, Vero Beach Veterans, the Eagles and the Moose Lodge.

He served in The United States Air Force until 1972. He moved to Miami in 1975 and maintained the humbling profession of funeral director for over 33 years. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church since 1975. He frequented the blood drives held, donating over 18 gallons. He could be found at the annual carnival selling 50/50 raffle tickets or in the dunk tank. He cherished his role as a faithful Usher at 11am mass. He was very active in the community as a volunteer; 20 years as the director of the G.O.A.L. program's Coffee House for the Handicapped; The Optimist Club's Annual Christmas Tree Lot, Bike Safety Awareness Day, and The Boys Club. He was always ready with a joke and a smile and his love of God and family outshined his love for himself. He will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Sunita and brother Richard. He is survived by his children; Christina Romani (Bryan Piersol), Ronald W. (Mercedes) Romani; grandson Zachary; brother Robert (Diane) Romani; William (TK) Romani; and sister Rita (Jerry) Burns. Obituary for Mr. Thomas Wayne Meeks
Thomas Wayne Meeks, 70, husband of Dixie Glover Meeks, of 120 N. Highway 11, West Union passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

A native of Vero Beach, Florida, Mr. Meeks was the son of the late Thomas Elmo and Lillie Conniff Meeks. Mr. Meeks was a veteran of the Merchant Marines having served in Vietnam. He was a residential building contractor and attended MEBA Engineering School in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Meeks was an ordained deacon of the Baptist faith, served on many mission trips, taught Royal Ambassadors for many years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Meeks is survived by his sons: Robert Meeks (Wendy) of Oakway; Ryan Meeks USAF (Jessie) of Shalimar, FL; grandchildren: Reagan, Macey, Livi, Brock and Bentley; brother: Ronnie Meeks (Tammy) of Sebastian, FL; and sister: Linda Meeks of Utah.

Funeral services will be private.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, November 16, 2020 at Bountyland Baptist Church.
