Nearly 12 years of Active Duty in the US Army as an Aircraft Structural Repairer. Started my career 6 days after graduation. My Duty assignments included, Ft Carson, CO; Ft Bliss, TX; Nuremberg, Germany; Ft Eustis, VA (instructor); Katterbach, Germany. Then I was discharged for Medical disability.

Served 4 years in the Air Force then 17 in the US Army. I retired as a CW4 flying the AH-64D Longbow Apache and teaching the US ARMY Maintenance Test Pilot School at Fort Rucker Alabama. Though unable to fly due to health reasons I still support the US ARMY by working as a DA civilian in International Programs developing and managing Foreign Military Sales cases.

Navy, 4 Years
Aviation Electronics Technician. Served aboard the USS Saratoga which is no more. Second Class Petty Officer. Fighter Squadron VF-32. We flew the F8- Crusader. The first Fighter to reach a speed of 1000 MPH. My ship and Squadron was envloved in Guantnamo Bay Cuban Missle crisis. Our jets chased Russin Migs out of restricted Air Space. Next the Russian Ships were turned around and they departed the area. It would have been World War 3 if one of our pilots got off some rounds during the chase. The Air group departed from the ship to shore. Ate very good chow. The beer was nasty. Formaldihide (SP) was added as a preservative. Good thing I did not drink. Oh I would do it agin for sure. Very small picture. My Drum and Bugle corp days.
