We (Cecilia and Nancy Candelaria) and myself have secured an air bnb house in Joshua Tree. 62524 Desert Way Dr. Joshua Tree. There is a pool and hot tub. There are a few games and we will definitely play left right center so bring your one dollar bills. THIS IS AN ADULT PARTY!!! Please no children or grandchildren!! Haha!! We will have food and beer. If you want alcohol please bring your own. We will have sodas and some mixers. Friday night 6pm meet and greet will be at the house. We are paying enough for it ($2000) so we will utilize it all weekend. A few of us will be staying the nights there. If you want to stop by and say hello please do. This event will cost $25 per person ($30 at the door) to offset the cost of venue, beer, and food. This is total for Friday June 23rd 6pm And Saturday June 24rth 4pm. 2018 29 Palms Schools Reunion - 1940's thru 1960's Classes
Location: Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant
Details: No RSVP required for the 5 PM Friday night Mexican dinner at Las Palmas Mexican Cuisine, 73741 29 Palms Hwy, 29 Palms CA 92277. Pay $16 plus tip for this fine buffet meal and visiting with old friends and school classmates. This restaurant is only a few doors east of 4-Corners and show up early - it can get tight.

Our reunion will be on the 29 Palms Pioneer Days weekend.

On Saturday morning, breakfast is on your own but a good time to meet with special friends for this meal.

Later Saturday morning (about 10 AM) meet in the sand lot next to the Smith's Ranch Mural on Adobe Road near the Bowladium road for the Pioneer Days Parade where much visiting is conducted with people you have not seen for one to many years -- or decades.

At 1 PM meet at the Old Elementary School Museum near the 29 Palms Inn for the 29 Palms Historical Society "Oldtimers Gathering." There will be tables and shade from the sun, and of course various Morongo Basin artifacts in the museum. For guests, the Society offers water, soft drinks and snacks.

RSVP is required for the Saturday night dinner event -- At 5 PM on Saturday evening at the 29 Palms Inn for an evening of good food, visiting and a lot of laughter.

Details: Here are some final details for the reunion:

1. we have 6 tickets left. That means that only 6 more people can either purchase tickets online or at Joshua Tree Saloon with $75 CASH ONLY

2. The reunion will start at 5pm and go until 9pm

3. Please wear whatever you would like. It is outside and super casual.

4. Our space will be roped off and food is included. We will have a private bar, but drinks are not included. You will need to bring cash or a card if you plan on drinking.

Class of 2008 details confirmed! We will be hosting our reunion at the Joshua Tree Saloon on September 22nd from 5-9pm. Our outdoor space will hold 75 people so please buy your tickets now. Spouses and guests welcome, but please keep in mind that we only have 75 seats. Your ticket price will include the space and food for the evening. If there is money left over I will create drink tickets, otherwise there will be an open bar.

Details: This 29 Palms schools reunion is an annual event on Pioneer Days, and includes all former classmates from the early 1960's back to the 1940's.
Soon we should include those after the early 1960's, as we are losing many of the 1950's and prior classmates.
Friday night we have dinner at a Mexican restaurant, Saturday me meet for breakfast at the fire station, watch the Pioneer Days parade from the lot near the Smith's Ranch Mural, lunch snacks at the Old Elementary School Museum and dinner at a place to be announced later. Much visiting is conducted at each event and it's always great to see our old friends during this weekend event.

2014 Annual School Reunion

To all 29 Palms School Classmates and Alumni:

This is the official announcement of the 2014 Annual School Reunion during the 29 Palms Pioneer Days event beginning Friday night , October 17, 2014, for our annual Mexican evening meal -- and the Pioneer Days events on Saturday, Oct. 18; Parade, Old-Timer's Gathering at the Old Elementary School Museum and Saturday night dinner party at the 29 Palms Inn again this year.

We took a poll and asked many classmates that attended these events in past years, and a majority of you requested that we keep the same events at these same places. We understand the current economic conditions and hope you can make it this year.

In fact, with all this political and economic turmoil, it might be good therapy for you to come out to the desert, relax and enjoy renewing old relationships with friends, laugh a lot and enjoy the events -- October's climate on the desert is outstanding!

First, the Friday Night Dinner:

Friday night (just come to dinner, no RSVP necessary) at Las Palmas Mexican Cuisine, 73741 29 Palms Highway - Phone 1-760-367-9099 at 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
Relaxing, plenty of time to talk and enjoy the evening. We are asking for enough tables for all of us to be in the same room.

Cost to you for the very well done buffet is $13.95 per person, including coffee, tea and soft drinks, plus tax & gratuity -- or off the menu meal and drinks (NO MIXED ALCOHOL DRINKS, ONLY BEER & WINE AVAILABLE).

Second, the Saturday Night Dinner Party:
• At the 29 Palms Inn once again...! Owners Jane (Van Lahr) Smith and husband Paul have continued to do a great job with the facilities and food for this event. Thanks to them for their appreciated help and participation in past years...! Jane and her sisters went through most of their elementary schooling in the museum building with a lot of the really old timers (us)...!
• Beginning at 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with dinner starting around 6:30 p.m.
• Cost to you $40.00 per person including tax & gratuity (*RSVP and pay in advance) with alcohol drinks extra. Due to raising costs for the 29 Palms Inn, the cost is higher this year, however still a good price for their quality food and services! Please make checks payable to “29 Palms Inn”

Here is an Event Summary:

(1) Friday Night; 5:30 PM again at the Las Palmas Mexican Cuisine, 7374 - 29 Palms Hwy, buffet and/or they will accept orders from the menu dinner. Beer and wine are available.

(2) Saturday morning: On your own or if you would like, some of us goes to a very inexpensive breakfast ($3.00 or $4.00 donation last year) at the 29 Palms Fire Station, just south of the four corners, beginning at 7:00 a.m. for pancakes, bacon and milk or juice. Donations for the meal goes to the Volunteer Fire Organization's needs.

(3) Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to about noon: The Pioneer Days Parade starts. If the Marines are back from overseas, it is an active parade, otherwise it's pretty small but charming (it's at no charge which is worth that amount – and you can use this time to meet and talk to other former friends close to the Smith Ranch Mural on Adobe Road near the old Bowladium road.

(4) Saturday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - The Old timers Gathering at the old school building museum relocated near to the 29 Palms Inn entrance. Snacks and soft drinks supplied by the 29 Palms Historical Society.
The museum is a good one, with good memories for those that attended this old elementary school prior to the mid 1950's. All of the old 29 Palms High School Annuals are available to read. They also have interesting displays in the museum showing pioneers pictures and other artifacts. The 29 Palms Stage restoration has been completed and Hastie’s old bus looks great!

(5) Saturday Night; 5:30 PM at 29 Palms Inn for dinner party.
