| About Me | After graduating, I went to Georgia State University, graduated with a B.S. in Nursing. Got married & divorced. After my divorce I joined the Navy Nurse Corps, retired in 1997. It was while I was in the Navy that I met my second husband (Scott) and we have been married for the past 26 years. We have one son (Jayson), whom I'm very, very proud of. He graduated last May from the Citadel (Charleston, S.C.) with a degree in Civil Engineering. He now is working for the state in Air Quality Control. He is also, a 1st Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. While I was serving as the Interim Operating Room Educator, I realized that there were younger nurses coming on board, so I went back to school after twenty years and pursed a Master's degree in Vocational Education (I like to think of it as Adult Education). And,because nursing is what it is, you can not teach nursing without a Master's in Nursing...so, back to school I went and recived a Master's in Nursing Education.
