My father was a very well know person in town.He was very athletic, I have just come across very old newspaper clippings that my mother sent me ,so i could fix a scrap book for my three boys and my brothers three boys also.I know my brother was trying to locate these clippings because my father had gotten picked to be in the hall of fame for tivy.

Kerrville - Troy Allen Wright, 62, passed from this life with his family around him on Monday, February 4, 2013. Troy was born on November 14, 1950 to Troy Byrd and Viola Bernhard in Kerrville TX.
Later in life Troy met Linda Shuler and they were married on August 31, 1991 in San Antonio, TX. Troy became a Proprietor of a tree trimming service, and then was employed as a manager for a Valero Store. He became a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, where he worked with young adults and collegiates until he became disabled. His enjoyments were watching TV and taking care of his 2 beloved dogs, Lady and Jasmine. He also cherished being a part of his God-Daughter’s life, Mary Cox.
Troy was preceded in death, by his parents, Troy and Viola Byrd; a granddaughter; twin nieces; his father-in-law; and his beloved dog, Junior.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Shuler; sister, Sandra Julian and husband Lyn of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Dianna Wright and Candy Moore; several grandchildren and great –grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mary Shuler; sister-in-law, Marian Ingram and husband Randy; niece, Emily of Lewisville, TX; adopted daughter, Katherine Caulder; and God-Daughter, Mary Cox, along with numerous other relatives and friends in the area.
Troy will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 PM in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, TX on Saturday, February 9, 2013, with the Rev. Thomas Jeffers Oficiating.

"Mondo" Armondo Bill Pruneda, 53, died peacefully in his home late in the evening of March 21, 2005 in Austin, TX. after an extended illness. Mondo was a brilliant man of extraordinary gifts and sensitivity. Blessed with an incredible mind, the gift of healing, a delightfully wicked sense of humor, and exceptional good looks, few who ever encountered Mondo forgot the experience. Mondo could just as easily build a house or fix a motor as he could comfort a baby or heal a hurt, and he was always generous with his time and his talelnts. Mondo was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will life forever in our hearts, dancing the jig of mischievous angels. Mondo was born and raised in the beautiful Hill Country town of Kerrville, but skpent his adult life in his beloved Austin, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Annie; his parents, Arturp and Estella; his children, Julian,l Jesse, Rose, Dominique, and Lex; his brother and sisters, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

David P. Braden, Jr., age 61 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in a Del Rio hospital. He was born July 23, 1951 in Kerrville to David Patrick Braden, Sr. and Thetis (Twombly) Braden. On August 6, 2009, he married Debbie Fiedler.
David graduated from Tivy High School and played on the 1969 Tivy Basketball Team which won the State title.

David was a land developer and loved to hunt and golf. He was a member of Kerrville Host Lions Club, SCI Hill Country Chapter, and the Dallas Safari Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Michael Braden

Survivors include wife, Debbie of Kerrville; sons, Patrick Braden of Kerrville and Seth Braden of St. Thomas; daughter, Betsy Miller and husband, Chris of San Antonio; step-daughter, Jennifer Raab and husband, Mark of Fredericksburg; sister, Barbara Ann Biggerstaff and husband, David of North Carolina; mother-in-law, Linda Fiedler; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary Jane and John Schmidt; sisters-in-law, Karen Snowden and husband, Bob, and Tawnya Boos and husband, Sam, both of Fredericksburg; brother-in-law, Steven Fiedler and wife, Lizette of Fredericksburg; step grandchildren, Daniel and Jace Raab.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012, 5-7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012, 2 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Mike Williams. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Milton Gibson, Barry Collins, Chet Whatley, Doug Wright, Bruce Keller, and Randy Sanders.

Memorials may be made to the Dietert Senior Center, Kathleen Cailloux Humane Society of Kerrville, or to a charity of one’s choice

Joseph Reece McGough, 62, of Greenville, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012.

Joe was born May 11, 1950 in Dallas to Mary Evelyn Horton Behrens and Reece Haskell McGough. Joe proudly served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Army. After retiring, he became a successful small business owner. Joe enjoyed the open road, driving and escorting heavy-haul and oversized loads for 17 years.

He is pr...eceded in death by his parents, sister Linda, and grandson Adam.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cathy, daughter Kari McGough of Princeton, son Douglas McGough of Campbell, and daughter and son-in-law Sherry & Clifford Watts, along with loving grandchildren Dustin, Joseph, Chance, Jesse, Julie, Allison, Katie Jo, and Natalie; his brothers Leonard Rogers of Sonora and DeWayne Rogers of Bracketville; and numerous extended family members by whom he was much loved.
Funeral arrangements are by Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX.
His funeral was Wednesday January 2nd at 2 pm at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio.

Krisanne Norwood Frost, age 61, went to be with God on December 6, 2012. A true Texan, Kris was born to Pat Norwood Walker and Bill Norwood (deceased) in Houston on March 29, 1951, and spent much of her childhood in the Hill Country around Bandera and Kerrville. Krisanne is survived by her loving daughter Adrianne Frost and Adrianne’s other half Tom Kelly, brother Bryan Norwood, wife Jan, their two sons and her mother Pat Walker. Special friends include Adrianne’s father Tom Frost III and wife Meaghan and the entire Frost family, the Blue Star Contemporary Art group, Adrianne’s Yaya’s and all of Krisanne’s lifelong friends. Krisanne held both a BS in Cultural Anthropology from UTSA and Associate of Allied Health from SAC. An extremely talented artist, she was well versed and capable of producing amazing work in all mediums, with a particular love for welding. If life imitates art, then Krisanne’s life was a representation of life’s art and all that is joyous. She was a vivacious individual with a deeply spiritual side. Kris spent the last eight years surrounded by her true love, art, at the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center.

Mr. Noble worked for James Construction Company for many years and was working in Cameron when he died.

KERRVILLE - Laura Eve Washburn Connell of Ingram, TX passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Peterson Regional Medical Center of a sudden heart attack at the age of 60 years and 11 months.

Laura was born August 17, 1951 to Mack Washburn and Ruth Mays in Hearne, Texas. She united in marriage with John M. Connell on February 7, 1976.

Upon graduating high school, Laura had various office manager positions. Her favorite hobbies included flower gardening, dancing, camping, water skiing, landscaping and "Facebook Farmville." She was the most independent and unselfish person. Laura will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family and friends.

Laura is survived by her husband, John M. Connell; her mother, Ruth Mays of Kingsland; her two daughters and spouses, Daisy and James Hansen of San Antonio and Christi and Jason Fowler of Ingram; five grandchildren, Nathan, Grady and Savannah Phillips of Pleasanton, James Fowler of Kerrville, and Cheyenne Fowler of Ingram; one sister and spouse, Betsy and David Brandt of Ingram; two brothers and spouse, Billy and Yvonne Washburn of Kempner and Shannon Washburn of Kerrville; five brother-in-laws and spouses, Maurice Connell, Tommy Connell and Pat Bailey, Pat and Diana Connell, Mike Connell, Kyle and Misty Connell; seven sister-in-laws and spouses, Tammy and John Samford, Melissa and David Bell, Amy and Billy Head, Leann and Kenneth McGehee, Deborah Beasley, Cheryl Connell, and Cheri Connell-Baxter; also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her father, Mack Washburn; one brother, Tony Washburn; two brother-in-laws, Bobby Connell, Sr. and Tony Connell; father-in-law, Whitney Connell and mother-in-law, Norma Morgan.

A visitation and time for the family to receive friends and neighbors will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 5 - 7 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10 AM in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with the Rev. Faye E. Schott officiating. Interment will follow at Nichols Cemetery.

NEW YORK - Lisa Marie Bishop, formerly Lisa Maria Masters, 57, of Kerrville, Texas; died in New Windsor, N.Y.; on Monday, Feb. 5, 2009. Lisa was born on Jan. 16, 1952, in fort Smith, Ark.. She attended military schools while her father was stationed over seas/. After her ffather's retirement, her family settled in Kerrville, Texas; where she graduated from Tivy High School. She participated in a variety of school activities such as student council and cheerleading. She later graduated from Saint Edward's University in Austin, TX; wit h a BS degree in education. She went further in her field, acquiring a second bachelor's degree and three Master's degrees re;ated tp the education field. Lisa's teaching career skpanned 33 years; mostly with the Department of Defense Dependant School system. The majority ofd her years educating young children were spent in Europe, with her kfinal posting at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Lisa was recognized throughout the DoDDS school system as a master teacher by her students, parents, colleagues and administrators. Lisa was the kind of teacher who had parents fighting to place their children in her classes. She was the quintessential teacher, and her legacy is isthe children whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband, Graham, the love of her life, her son, Joel Bishop; her daughter, Samantha Wienke; her daughter, Elizabeth Bishop, four grandchildren.

Robert Allen “Bo” Cason III, 39-year-old resident of Woodward, OK, passed from this life on June 12, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1977 in Fredericksburg, TX to Robert Jr. and Virgina (Crawford) Cason. Bo grew up in Kerrville, TX and attended grade school at Kerrville Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1995 from Tivy High School. He received the State of Texas Kerr County 4-H Gold Star Award, one of the highest awards given, and Outstanding 4-H Leadership award. Bo attended South Plains College in Levelland, TX for two years with his focus always on agriculture and business.
On October 3, 1998, Bo married the love of his life, Julie Ann Burns, at the Church of Christ in Kerrville, TX. To this union, two daughters were born, Callie Diann and Cecilia Lenore. They were his love and his source of pride and joy. They have lived in Kerrville, TX; Fairview, OK; and in 2008 moved to Woodward where he currently resided. Bo was a third generation Oilfield worker and he loved to drive semi’s. He loved his oilfield brotherhood. He worked for Cudd Pressure Services as a CDL Truck Driver w/many endorsements and hauled everything. He had been in the oilfield driving trucks for over 15 years. But what he loved to do the most, was to be outside, helping run cattle, working on the ranch/farm that Julie grew up on with her brother Will.
Bo truly loved the outdoors in all its forms. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially traveling. He always looked forward to taking his family on vacations every year, sometimes twice, if the year in the oilfield was good. His family always came first.
He was a Christian and was baptized on October 21, 1998 at the First Baptist Church in Kerrville and was a current member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Woodward. He loved doing mission work for his church and for the Serving Christ Outreach in Fairview. He truly had a passion to help others. Bo was a member of the Masonic Lodge #189 in Woodward. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Bo is survived by his wife Julie Ann Cason and daughters Callie Diann and Cecilia Lenore Cason of Woodward, OK; his parents Robert and Virgina Cason of Kerrville, TX; brothers Ronnie Cason and wife Starling of Katie, TX and Raymond Cason and wife Tori of Kerrville, TX; father-in-law George Burns and wife Sharon of Vici, OK; mother-in-law De Abbott and husband Guy of Seiling, OK; brother-in-law William Burns and wife Natasha of Vici, OK; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
