Class of 1978
Navy, 20+ Years

Primarily I was a Boatswain Mate, also was in Naval Law Enforcement, became First Lieutenant at Commander, Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific in Pearl Harbor. I was stationed on both East and West Coasts including Naples, Italy. For ships, I served on USS Charleston (LKA-113), USS Merrill (DD-976), USS Jarrett (FFG-33) and USS Coronado (AGF-11) which was at the time 3rd Fleet's Command Ship. Served in the Navy from 1982-2002 and served in the National Guard from 1978-1982. Retired from service. Other duties was setting up religious services, and assist Chaplains at a command level when deployed, community service programs for schools and orphanages over seas, Command Investigator. In my earlier years I served on a gun crew for a 3"50, then on a Damage Control Team and on a Nuclear Incident Team. Been involved in combat situations during the course of my service.
