About Me The only person I compare myself to today is the person I was yesterday. Slow progress is still progress. Hate is such a waste of energy and focus. Indifference is more effective and efficient. Don't fill a glass that is half full. Instead, get a smaller glass. Follow what you believe in your own heart. Your instinct. Because in the he said, she said, anyone can tell you what to do or how to do it. But, in the end, it should be your judgement and your experience that makes the final call. Know this. No matter the trash you throw on me, or the holes you drill into my skin, you will never break me. For I am the soil you build your foundation upon. I will give you everything you need to sustain yourself and nurture you so you may continue your way of life. But, with merely a flinch, I can bring your empire crashing violently to the ground, filling your skies with ash, and covering your land with fire and oceans. I am, your earth. To know so much, and yet still so little. To feel anxiety; fear; suspicion; the need to constantly look over one's shoulder. Knowing that no matter how much you prepare for the storm, you can't stop the flood, and are left to be washed away. So you hope, no, pray for the best, knowing exactly what the worse has in store. If you were look at a relationship as you would a home, love would be the floor plan that sets everything in motion, but trust would be the very foundation that home is built upon. Life and war have very similar qualities. You take your time and gather intel on a matter, use that intel to plan your strategy, continue to gather intel and watch for changes in routine and behavior, adjusting your strategy as needed, and when you feel you have the best opportunity for success, or time has run out, you put your plan into action and attack. In today's society it's a fast-pace, get up and go life. Things move by so quickly that we forget to stop and check out the scenery; to pay attention to what we're doing and where we're going. Remember to take a look around every once in a while. You might just find something important you could've overlooked if you didn't. A lot of things in life are like Poker. It's not about the risk and whether or not you're confident enough to take it, but what is at stake. A million dollars is worth the risk, but would you be willing to stake the five hundred thousand that you already have knowing that you could walk away with nothing? Understand that the meaning of life is to live. That means breaking yourself of your unnecessary burdens and live. In a world of change and choice, there is a flow to life. A pattern. With every choice made you can begin to recognize each action's consequence and every cause's effect. Eventually you can see the pattern and where the path leads, and then everything becomes predictable. That is karma. There is one certainty in life and that is death. It could come tomorrow or in a hundred years. Because of that I think it's best not to worry about all the problems and just live. Fix it if it needs to be fixed. Leave it if it ain't broke. Do what you love to do, and if you die doing it, then at least you died doing what you love. Behind every man's decision is a woman who inspired it. Family isn't determined solely by name or blood line. Family are those that you hold closest to your heart and will be there for you through thick and thin just as you would be for them. They are the ones that give you the experiences you need to grow into the person that you will be tomorrow. They exist regardless of home or workplace. They are the family that I have, and that is what I'm thankful for. Lying to yourself isn't always a bad thing. It just depends on what the outcome is. Sometimes a simple thing can make the day that much better. Having determination and a never quit attitude can be stressful, but in the end it's worth it. Always keep an open ear and an open mind where guidance is offered. When ...(read more)
