Clyde McGeary Class of 1948, Honored by IUP

Clyde McGeary was honored at Indiana University of Pennsylvania during the 2012 Commencement ceremony. He presented the Commencement speech and was honored with an Honorary Doctorate.
Clyde, formerly of Cheswick, lives in Camp Hill, near Harrisburg, with his wife Barbara. His work with the Pennsylvania Department of Education includes the creation of the Pennsylvania Governor's Schools, including the famous School for the Arts. Clyde has been recognized throughout the Nation for his leadership related to the arts and government policy.
Prior to his work in Harrisburg, Clyde taught at the University of Pittsburgh.
He is also a member of the Springdale High School Hall of Fame.
