| About Me | Thirty-five year career in marketing, communication, and advancement working with nonprofit agencies that have specialized in Christian humanitarian work. Married since 1976 to Carolyn (formerly, Carolyn Baker of Northridge, CA). We have one beautiful daughter and a terrific son-in-law, and two grandsons, Arie and Alan. For years, my work was global in nature and I had the privilege of traveling worldwide and working for great organizations like World Vision, International Aid, and Open Doors. For a time, I also worked downtown LA on Skid row with homeless men, women, and children. These days I work full-time for a fantastic organization that does nationwide work in Kenya, it's called HEART, an acronym for Health Education for Africa Resource Team; I continue to teach as Azusa Pacific University as an adjunct professor in nonprofit public relations. Around the age of seven, my Dad encouraged me to start playing the guitar, and from that point forward, I developed a life-long passion for the instrument. My greatest interest/hobby is writing and strategic communication. I volunteer for a couple of nonprofit charities and regularly write feature stories for the Glendoran Magazine.
