A Great Big Hello from your Reunion Committee. We hope that everyone is doing as well as can be, and enjoying 2016. Please spread this around to all the classmates that you know and see if they got the word. We had 40 people attend the 46th at Seibels last June, and it was fun. We are trying to have Mr. Dauberman come again along with Mr. Connor and any other teacher you know. It is neat that we have a fellow classmate who retired as a teacher at Sherwood. We will put this on Facebook and other sites, but nothing beats” Word of Mouth".
We want to discuss all possibilities like cruises, sky jumping, and other things that classmates could want do. The Waredeca idea that Ed Burke provided could be one of these events to do. We received a few responses about this idea, so we decided to book Seibels for this year. Seibels was there when we were in high school and the 2 owners try to accommodate us as much as possible. So let 2016 be a very good year to everyone and we will see you at Seibels on June 11, 2016 at 2pm until 6pm (or later). Be sure to bring 6 quarters with you.
We wanted to share an email from Andrea about the challenges that Phyllis Pilcher is facing now We hope to have her come to the 47th reunion. She is one of the most inspiring people you can meet. Please share any challenges that anyone is facing.
Doug and I both were trying to call Phyllis without success. Doug talked with Phyllis' caregiver and now so have I. I met her the year of our 45th Reunion when I took Phyllis home to Baltimore and stayed over for church. Phyllis is in the hospital where they found she was filled with fluid all around the heart. They thought her time was near but she has gotten better. She will go to rehab when they get back the results of biopsy on kidneys to see if she needs dialysis or chemo or what. The caregiver found her in bed, breathing funny, not feeling good, but still ok and called 911 the next morning.
So we are requesting prayers. In a week or so I will call the cg to check in. I don't think Phyllis would be at home to answer her phone but cg will be taking her mail to the hospital or rehab. New address since the Reunion Booklet. She is fully blind but how nice to hear from friends: 6101 Loch Raven Blvd., Apt. 103, Baltimore MD 21239.
