Received my "Greetings" from Uncle Sam in '65, went to MP School at Ft Gordon, Ga, then to Viet Nam in'66. Didn't like hassling the troops from the field when they came to town to have fun so went to dog handler's school in Okinawa. Went back to Nam and guarded a helicopter base. When door gunners were needed I volunteered, not one of my wiser decisions, and managed to get home in one piece. Then went to Ft Rucker, Ala for my last 6 months. All in all I kinda enjoyed it.
