Army, 20+ Years Served 30 years in the Army Dental Corps, 16 years as Commanding Officer of Dental Organizations across the globe.
D'Ann (Bailey) Hershel Class of 1978
Air Force, 8 Years Aerospace and Warning Systems Operator for grand tactical air combat command squadron.
Dan (Danny) Burgess Class of 1976
Army, 12 Years Graduated from the Army Airborne, Ranger, Infantry Officer Basic and Signal Officer Advance Schools. Served in South Korea (ROK), West Germany, Germany, Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Virginia. Served in the Army Reserves for 9 years.
David S. Ferrell Class of 1964
Army, 20+ Years Marshall Grad. Armor Officer and Army Aviator. Flew Cobra Aircraft in Vietnam. Commanded Infantry, Armor and Aviation Units in the US, Vietnam and Germany. Retired 1994. Serve as Business Development VP for British owned firm.
Donnie Pennington Class of 1986
Navy, 18 Years Served 12 years as a Combat Field Corpsman(Medic) with the 2nd Marine. Served in Desert Storm, Mogadishu Somolia, 2 tours in Operation Iragi Freedom. Got a Medical Retirement at 18 years, now a disabled Veteran.

Air Force, 4 Years USAF Flight Surgeon (Major) with one year of service at NKP Thailand doing rescue work for downed air crews in SEA. Head Flight Surgeon and Emergency Dept. Director at Hill AFB, Utah.

Gerald (Jerry) Harman Class of 1959
Air Force, 6 Years After WVU, attended USAF Flight Traning at Craig AFB, Selma, AL in 1965 (major civil rights times), Graduated highly enough in Pilot Training to qualify to fly the F-4 Phantom. Then trained for 9 monts in it at Davis-Montan AFB, Tucson (an adventrure for an "eastern" boy. Served ina n opertional Air Force Wing at Eglin AFB, FL and thentoo assignment as a Forward Air Controller, training at Hurlburt Field, near Eglin. From there I volunteered to fly the brand new OV-10 Bronco as a Forward Air Contoller over Laos, but based in Thailand, right on the Mekong River across from Laos. Fascinatins as we worked with CIA military operatives and had lots of fun getting shot at four hours a day, mostly without success. Later did some flying for the FBI, got to fly by Mount Rushmore, land at Kitty Hawk. Then 28 years in the FBI (quite an adventurous life.
John D Burnette Class of 1964
Army, 20+ Years Work in military Intelligence and Cyber, visited over 80 different countries, and had multiple tours in Vietnam where I worked as a Translator Interpreter in Prison of War Camps throughout the country.

Army, 20+ Years Lieutenant Colonel, United States Army (Retired). Enlisted in WV Army National Guard 2 April 1965, Military Police Corps Officer from 1969 through 1995.

Air Force, 20+ Years Seved in Texas, England, Hawaii, North Carolina, and South Dakota. Tours in Japan, South Korea, Germany, Eygypt, Austrailia, Italy. and The Azores. Combat duty in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq.

Larry T. Lacy Class of 1962
Air Force, 20+ Years Larry retired from the Air Force in 1985 and is now living in Saupan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. His brother Lyle is retired from the army and living in Arizona. Both are Vietnam Vets and both rated by the VA as 100% disabled. Lyle is a double amputee while Larry has had numerous foot surgery. Both were disabled as a result of Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam.
