About Event
Rutherford's Class of '79 is holding our 40th Reunion this year on Panama City Beach. In order to make it easy on everyone involved everything is included in the price (football game, lunch on Saturday, and dinner @ Captain Anderson's). All you need to do is show up and enjoy!
Friday Night Sept 20th – Football game at Tommy Oliver against Port St. Joe.
Saturday Afternoon Sept. 21st – Catered lunch at Todd Herendeen’s Theatre on Panama City Beach. Elvis Presley themed venue. Lunch by Vittles (Po Folks). Includes 2 pieces of Fried or Baked Chicken, tossed salad, scalloped potatoes, grilled asparagus, yeast rolls, assorted cake slices and sweet and unsweetened tea.
Saturday Evening Sept 21st – Dinner at Panama City Beaches legendary Captain Anderson’s with a view of the water. I'll post the menu options for Captain Anderson's, but they are offering a great set of menu options for a set price. We of course have a DJ providing music. Unfortunately, it will not be our classmate Mark Limmer. We asked but he was already booked for that date.
If you get your money in early, we are providing a discount - now to end of June - the cost is $80/person. From July 1 to end of August - $85/person, the month of September? $90/person. Get your checks or money order made out to "Rutherford HS Class of 1979" and mail to Kerin Shue @ 3144 Border Creek Rd Crestview, FL 32539 ASAP to take advantage of the discounts. We need to get our final counts to the vendors in early September. We need the names of the people that you are paying for. If you've changed your name since HS, include your maiden name with the check. If you have RSVP'ed via the Class Facebook page there is no need to do it anywhere else. You must pay ahead of time! There will be no money taken at any of the events.
If you are coming into town and need a place to stay - the host hotel is going to be the LaQuinta (7115 Coastal Palms Blvd off Thomas Drive). The direct number for reservations is 850-234-3133. There's no code, just let them know you are with the Rutherford Reunion to get the special rate of $110.88 per night. Reservations must be made at least 30 days in advance to get the special rate. Accommodations are NOT included in the price.

Also - it seems like Schooners is becoming a impromptu gathering location on Friday. No formal agreements, but people are desiring to meet up there on Friday.

We are in the last week of discounted pricing for the 40th Reunion. You must get your payment in the mail before July 1st to take advantage of this, after that it moves to the regular price. If you are going to be there, get your $80 per person payment to Kerin Moore Shue.
