Roosevelt Alum Wins Book Award

Wendy Parciak ('84) won the 2008 Montana Honor Book Award in March, 2009 for her debut novel, "Requiem for Locusts." This book explores the sense of isolation in a neighborhood where people struggle to cope with their own problems behind doors and fences, scarcely aware of each other’s existence. Ironically, it is because of the wanderings of a mentally-ill resident, the most alienated person of all, that everyone else in the neighborhood begins to communicate.
