We would like to send a cordial invitation to all on this site, and those we still have left to locate, to the 20 year Anniversary of our graduation from RTHS. Some may call it a reunion, we are calling it a celebration. I want to thank Sybil Mulokwa and Sammy Oesterreich for their combined efforts on logo and invitation, respectively. Please review all of the information on the invite. Once you know you will be able to attend, please print out this invitation, cut the bottom portion off of the page, and mail it with your payment to the address provided....a BIG thank you to Sara Weitekamp Hafer who will handle RSVPs and collection. Please make sure you indicate the number attending the dinner as well....we want to have enough food for everyone! We will not be able to adjust for walk-ups, so it is important that you RSVP by the date shown. Dinner menu (thank you Heather Ball) is as follows: Menu Risotto Station Creamy Italian risotto custom finished with guests choice of accompaniment featuring diced ham, English peas, parmesan cheese, apple wood smoked bacon, blue cheese, sundried tomatoes, roasted peppers and snipped chives Carving Station Sage roasted turkey breast and herb crusted beef tender offered with a variety of pastry rolls and sauces Buffet Station Roasted, fresh and grilled vegetables accompanied by a roasted pepper dip Toasted Greek spanakopitas with Mediterranean olives Quesadilla bites and chicken quesadilla bites with pico de gallo, homemade guacamole, and corn and vegetable tortilla chips Dessert Station All American pies of Granny Smith apple pie and cherry pie Beverages Premium cash bar of wine, sprirts, beer and mixers; Water and sodas complimentary Those of you wishing to play golf, please try to organize a team of 4. If you are an individual, that is fine as well, we can work you in...every team needs a ringer! Golfers must notify Joel Duckworth or Jenna Little also by the RSVP date. Basketball teams will want to join the facebook group RTHS Alumni Basketball Event. Kellie Wahl (my youngest sister) plans and organizes this event and will need to know participation. Keep in mind with the hotel information, you may be able to get a better price on Expedia, Priceline, or Hotels.com...we'd like to thank Melanie Schelling for setting this up. The prices you see for the two hotels in Rantoul and one in Urbana are fixed, and if you book, you should reference the "Class of 1993" block. Transportation to and from Rantoul may include Greyound and Amtrak, both still stop there. I do love me some train, personally. Of course all are welcome to drive who feel up for that adventure, some farther than others. If flying is your only option, Chicago has O'Hare and Midway, and Indianapolis are within a two hour drive to Rantoul. Bloomington, IL, is 45 minutes away, and St. Louis is about a 3 hour drive. We can't tell you all how excited we are to not only put on this event, but engage with each of you directly and personally! My contact information is on the invite should you have any questions!
