In June of 1978 after graduation from Putnam County High School, I entered basic training and never looked back, I thought I would serve for only 4 yrs or so, but little did I know, those four years would bcome a lifetime. I retired on my sons 16th birthday. Last duty assignment was Andrews AFB,MD. I held a couple of Air Force Specialty Codes, 1 being a Heavy Equipment Operator and the other being a Aircraft Fuel Systems Technician. I worked on the F16, F4 and KC135, I served both stateside and overseas, I made lots of new friends, seen great places and have a life time of memories and Pictures. Illinois will always be home, Putnam County High School will always be the greatest school ever.
