The PHS 25th Reunion Commemorative Book A commemorative hard-cover book will be will be assembled with submittals from all graduate participants. You DO NOT need to attend the reunion to participate There is NO COST to participate. Each participant will receive either one or two full pages within the book. The book will be printed in color. The more text you use, it is possible that we may not be able to use all of your photos or the size of the photo may need to change. To participate: • Submit 3-5 pictures and rank them in order of priority of usage (if we can’t use all 5, we will use the pictures in order of priority). Fewer pictures can be sent if you so choose. The book will be printed in color. What you send will be presented exactly as submitted. • Caption your photos • Submit answers to the questions below. The questions are there to provide a rough template to follow. When meeting someone for the first time or someone you have not talked to in a long time, the questions below are usually some of the first ones asked. I added in a few other items in for fun. If you do not want to answer any of the questions below, you can skip them or add any information of your choosing. Questions: 1. Name - include maiden name if you have since changed your name after school 2. Marital Status 3. Current Residence – City &/or State 4. Kids – Yes/No and # if yes. Include grandchildren information &/or names of kids if you’d like 5. Furthest distance traveled from Phoenix, OR 6. Did you attend the all-night graduation party and if so, do you remember what you won? Do you still have it or do you still have/own anything from high-school? If so – what is it? 7. Are you doing the job you planned after leaving school? If no – what was your choice and what are you doing now? If yes – what is that job? 8. The place I’d most like to vacation is ______________. 9. People would be surprised to find out that I __________________. 10. In the last 25 years, what event(s) surprised you most (in your life, in the world (good or bad)? 11. What singer / band were popular when we were in school do you miss? 12. Is there any teacher that you still wonder what they are doing today? 13. What is your favorite “When I was your age……” story you find yourself telling your kids/grandkids? ESSAY QUESTION: What have you been doing since you left school? Summarize the last 25 years (remember you will have 1 to 2 pages to use and that includes photos). You can include answers to any of the above questions in your response. (Don’t worry – I will not be sending these to Mrs. E or Mr. Conley for editing.) Miscellaneous: A. Contact information: How do you want people to contact you (if you do) – provide an email, facebook link, twitter account, instagram, pinterest, linkedIn details or whatever you prefer. B. Do you own a business that you want others to know about? Note it and I will include it in your profile details for you if you didn’t already list it in the questions above. There is nothing wrong with promoting your fellow classmates, when possible. C. If you have any group/ad-hoc photos from our HS years (84-88) and would like to share some, please send them in. I already have the 10 year reunion group photo. D. Is there any teacher you would like to attend one of our events? If so, who? As indicated, there is no charge to participate in the creation of the book. If you choose to own a copy, you will be asked to pay for a copy (and possibly shipping) at that time. Any books pre-ordered will help in reducing the per-book cost. If you think you will be purchasing a book – please indicate this when you send me your information. Once all submittals are received and the book is drafted, I will have more details around the cost. I may be able to offer an on-line version of the book. VOTE: Do you want books ready for the weekend of the reunion or would you prefer that pictures be taken at the reunion and included in the book prior to publication?
