Friday, September 11th Activities
9:30 AM: Golfers gather in the Hilton DFW Lakes LOBBY to carpool to Golf Course
10:45 AM: Tee times begin at Grapevine Municipal Golf Course Transportation will be provided by DFW Classmates. Greens fees will be paid at the Golf Course.

3:00-6:30 PM: Check-in at the Registration
Location: The hallway to the right of the lobby check-in desk. Come pick up your Reunion bag and name badge. (Look for the “Welcome Class of 1965” banner.)
Evening Activities Location: The Outdoor Patio outside of Bonnie & Clyde's Hideout - to the right of the hotel lobby. (For those of you staying at the Hyatt Place Grapevine, this Patio is across Gibson-Anderson Road - easy walking between the two hotels.)
6:00-12:00 PM Hors d’oeurvres will be provided (at no additional cost to you) and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
Two of our classmates, Randy Johnston and Phil Smith, will each provide musical entertainment playing their guitars and singing during part of the evening.
This special time together on Friday night is more about just visiting, reuniting, and reminiscing with our classmates.

5:30-6:30 PM: Check-in at Registration
Location: On the third floor of the Hilton DFW Lakes (You can take the elevator or walk up the staircase). Look in the hallway for the "Welcome Class of 1965" banner at the Registration Table.
Evening Activites Location: We have moved to the 3rd Floor Ballrooms 1 and 2 (near the Registration Table)
6:00 PM Cocktails with live music and an open cash bar throughout the evening
6:45 PM-12:00 PM Buffet Dinner will be provided (at no additional cost to attendees), followed by group photographs, dancing and entertainment - A fun-filled evening designed to create memories! Be sure to take part in the Photo Booth found in this same location.

Pampa High School Class of 1965 Reunion Room Reservations at the Hyatt Place Grapevine
(Please read the last segment of this article to understand "why" we are being given the option to reserve rooms at nearby Hyatt Place Grapevine.)
The Hyatt Place Coordinator has reserved 40 rooms for our PHS Class of 1965. She agreed to letting our group have the same room rate of $109 plus tax, 13% that we are being offered at the Hilton DFW Lakes.

Our special group rate is $109 plus tax, 13%, the same as the group rate at the Hilton DFW Lakes. This is for a suite with one king bed or 2 double beds and includes a complimentary breakfast and complimentary DFW Airport shuttle.
Shuttle Information to and from the Hyatt Place-Grapevine:
The Hyatt Place provides complimentary 24 hour DFW Airport shuttle. If you fly in to DFW and do not want to rent a car, then you need to call the hotel directly at 972-691-1199 dial 0 upon landing and collect your luggage. You will be asked for your terminal and gate number and will need to meet the Hyatt Place van at the lower level for ground transportation. The Shuttle returns to DFW on request every ½ hour

Classmates, you MUST make your reservations by August 25, 2015 to be guaranteed the rate and availability. (But as you can see, the longer you wait, you might be affected by “unforeseen” concerns…so please place your reservations at the Hyatt Place, Grapevine “now!”)

Just to remind you…this paragraph is from our own website on Reservations at the Hilton DFW Lakes:
“MAKING YOUR RESERVATIONS AT THE HILTON DFW LAKES early will assure that you can be in the block of rooms designated for the “PHS Class of 1965 Reunion.” This rate for Reunion attendees is extended to our classmates based on availability and may not be available to all of your guests. The cutoff date for reserving rooms is two (2) weeks prior to the arrival date. So, your Steering Committee urges you to make your reservations EARLY!”
Let me update you on what has happened with Room Reservations at the Hilton DFW Lakes. Our committee did not guarantee rooms because any rooms we guaranteed that were not being used would have to be paid for by the Class of 1965 and we know our budget does not allow for that at all. That is why, when I posted the notice about room reservations at the Hilton on our website that I stressed their statement that reserving rooms at the Hilton was based on AVAILABILITY … and rooms may not be available to all classmates if the rooms are booked by another entity. Classmates' rooms were guaranteed by their Credit Card payments.
WELL, Classmates, when we had our last Steering Committee meeting on Saturday, June 13th we STILL had rooms available for everyone. SO…what happened then?
On Tuesday, June 16th a convention came into the Hilton and reserved 300 rooms – leaving no rooms available for our classmates on Saturday, September 12th. Some of you found that out as you went to make your reservations and contacted me. To say the least, our Committee is “shell shocked” about this turn in events.
But I must say, we have been given a reprieve! Our Hilton Coordinator contacted the Hyatt Place Grapevine (directly behind the Hilton DFW Lakes - within walking distance of the Hilton!).
Unfortunately we had no crystal ball to tell us that on June 16th a convention was going to come in and reserve EVERY FREE ROOM at the Hilton DFW Lakes. My only comment here is that “the early bird gets the worm.” Those who reserved their rooms at the Hilton BEFORE June 16th got their rooms (about 40 rooms).
I cannot stress how important it is that you make your room reservations at the Hyatt Place Grapevine NOW. You can do that without having turned in your Reunion Registration Form and Fee - so do it today! The Hyatt Place is within walking distance of the Hilton. In fact, Friday night we will be at the Hilton Patio and the Hyatt Place is within view of the Patio.

I am sorry about this unforeseen conflict. But, in the end, we have been given a wonderful alternative!
