Boatswains Mate First Class. Served on the USS Arctic, USS Shreveport and stationed at Naval Weapons Station Charleston in South Carolina. Currently attached to MESRON 4, :Boat Detachment 411 deployed to Kuwait.

Mike Johnson

Navy, 20+ Years
Served from 1974 - 1994 mostly as a machinist repairing diesel and nuclear class submarines. Spent 12-months on Antarctica (Oct 82 - Oct 83) at McMurdo Station supporting the National Science Foundation activities exploring the continent. 6-months of this time was in isolation during the winter months with 87 other soles. An experience of a life-time for sure.

Currently serving in the Illinois Army National Guard and also completing ROTC training at Western Illinois University to earn a commission as a Second Lieutenant.

served 21 years and retired in 1986. Overseas assignments include; Korea, Kiribati, thailand, Panama, Japan while stateside posts include Ft. Monmouth, Ft Huachuca, and White Sands Missile Range and Ft shafter.
