The Oakton Class of 1972's 40th reunion will be held on October 20, 2012 from 7 to 12 p.m. at the Mason Inn, George Mason University's new hotel and conference center, located at 4352 Pond Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030. Please register for free with reuniondb.com at https://www.reuniondb.com/Home.aspx to RSVP and purchase your tickets. The ticket price will be on a sliding scale of $70 to 80+ (price not set yet), depending on how long you wait to purchase your tickets. Reuniondb.com will be used for sending out further information and notices, so go there to RSVP after February 1, 2012. Hopefully the site will have built our database by then and be ready to accept RSVPs and payments. If not, keep trying later. Please also send an email to the reunion committee at oaktonclass72@gmail.com so we have a current email address for you. Neither Alumniclass.com nor Classmates.com provide your individual email address, requiring masked communication through them. We want to be able to contact you directly. We will use the email address used by you to contact oaktonclass72@gmail.com as a means for providing you backup notice. Primary notice, however, should come through reuniondb.com, so be sure to register there. For those coming into town and for those who prefer not to drink and drive, the reunion committee has secured a block of 20 rooms on a first come first served basis at a room rate of $79.00. That is a great rate in this area. Reservations for those rooms, however, must be received no later than September 19, 2012 to secure the favorable rate. Depending on how full the hotel is after 9/19/2012, it may give us additional rooms at the preferred rate but do not count on it. The reunion committee does not know where a lot of our classmates are and we are not sure we can find them. For that reason, we ask you to make a copy of this message right now and email it to all members of the class of whom you are aware. Please, please, please do this right now so you do not forget and so we can reach as many members of our class as possible. We want everyone to know about the reunion and have an opportunity to attend. How great it will be to see old friends, old loves, and to be able to check out old crushes, all while enjoying good food, drink, music and dancing. See you there.
