Greetings Fellow Vikings, Class of 1991; We are proud to announce that we will be having our 20th Class Reunion June 17, 18 & 19, 2011. On Friday, June 17, 2011 we will be having a meet and greet at Texas Steakhouse, located at 1703 Julian Allsbrook Hwy, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 from 7:00pm—11:00pm. On Saturday, June 18, 2011 we will be having a Family Day at River Falls Park, located in Weldon, NC from 2:00pm—6:00pm. There will be food, games & fun for everyone. Later that evening on June 18th we will have a semi-formal dance for the class of 1991 and their significant other from 8:00pm—12:00am, located at The Roanoke River Community Center located across from the Cinema Theatre in Roanoke Rapids, NC. We will also be serving food and non-alcoholic beverages. On Sunday, June 19, 2011 we will be attending church services at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Weldon, NC. The Rev. Quintrell Burrell will be conducting the church services for those of you who would like to attend. We will be honoring our fallen classmates on this day. The cost for the events will be a total of $40 and this cost will cover the Family Day at the park and the semi-formal dance. For the Family day at the park there will be an additional $5.00 per person for families bringing more than 3 children. T-Shirts will be available for an additional cost of $8.00 per person if anyone is interested. Those of you who are interested, please respond to this letter by In-boxing one of the following committee members on facebook, or you may respond to the address listed below. The cookout is being hosted at Schwanda and Eddie Bowser's home at 2583 Everett's School Road in Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870. The cookout is going to be on August 7, 2010. The cookout will be from 2 pm - until. The cost of the event is $10. That is $10 for the classmate and their immediate family. (Immediate family includes: spouse and children). Anybody else that you would like to bring outside the immediate family must have prior approval by Schwanda. The deadline to RSVP and give the number that will be attending the cookout will be JULY 9, 2010. The deadline for all monies to be turned in will be JULY 19, 2010. Money can be paid in the form of check or money order. If you would like to pay in cash please call Schwanda or I and we can meet you somewhere, or you can send it by another classmate that will be attending. The menu will consists of : chicken, fish, hamburger, hotdogs, potato salad, bake beans, cole slaw, and the normal side items you have at a cookout. Those class members that will be in attendance to the cookout we will be discussing what you would like to do to celebrate our 20 year class reunion in October. There are some members that have already made plans to come to the reunion in October. They may not be able to attend the cookout so we need to decide what we can do to continue with our 20 year celebration in October 2010. We would like to also inform you that this cookout in August we would like for it to become an annual event for the Class of '90. REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER IN ATTENDANCE, THIS COOKOUT WILL PROCEED ON THE GIVEN DATE.
