We have found a class ring in the belongings of my husband's parents who
moved here (Texas) from Camden, Arkansas in about 1994. It has a blue
stone and "Nashville High" around top and "David" on one side and a
stylized "N" or "M" on the other side. It also has 1994 on it. Please get in
touch with us if you think this ring might be yours. Pat Morgan (pmorgan2@ntin.net)
Hello,
My name is Kelley Jennings. My mother Mary Josephine Jones graduated from Nashville, Ark in about 1945. My aunt Kelley Gertrude Jones around 1934. My other aunt Winfrey Sue Jones in 1936. I also had an uncle but not sure about him. I have a class ring that I'm sure belongs to one of them but not sure. Could you possibly send me a pic of what the mascot might of looked like back then. It appears to be a 10kt gold ring with a bear on top. My Great Great Grandmother and Grandfather came to Nashville Arkansas from Nashville, Tennessee they settle in what Nashville use to be named Devil's something...I can't remember...But I remember that they renamed it Nashville as it was too beautiful to be named the Devil. My family were the Jones and Womacks....If anyone could help me I would appreciate it. My mother passed away last Sunday 11/9/08 at 81. My Aunt Gertie passed away 10/2007. I remember my childhood summers like they were yesterday when we would come out there from Brownfield, Texas and stay. My Grandparents home was by the railroad track going into town. Across from the peach packing shed. I haven't had peaches like those since the last time I was there. Sorry to ramble on but I love Nashville Ark...I guess you could say its in my blood. Thank you,
Kelley Jennings
