Did you get your question answered? I see it was a year ago. Mickey is in Myrtle Point and Richard is in Salem. They had their 50th class reunion 2 years ago.

Rich Armstrong and Mickey Kincheloe

Does anyone know whatever happened to Rich and Mickey? I played against them for Coquille from middle school through high school. They were seniors in 1961 and part of the graduating class of 1962. I laid a block on Mickey on the opening kickoff and cracked a couple of ribs. Or rather Mickey did. Played the game anyway since it was the last game at Coquille. Any help is appreciated. Bob Ivarie

Last name on the team rooster for the 1961 - 1962 Varsity football team should be Dick Down(s). Don't remember his number.

Bobcat Sports Hall-of-Fame

The Myrtle Point Bobcat Booster Club along with Athletic Director Mr. Tom Dill is starting up a Bobcat Sports Hall-of-Fame. The first inductees will be the 1961-62 Varsity Bobcat Football Team who were State A-2 Co-Champions. This recognition event will take place on Thursday Oct. 8th, 2009 at Myrtle Point High School. The event will start at 4:30 pm with a meet & greet, followed by a full half-time introduction on the "Curt Beckham" Football field. Inductees and/or family members will be receiving an informational invitation as soon as contact info is received. That night the Bobcats will be hosting Rogue River High School. The reason for the Thursday evening game is because of a state-wide school in-service day on Friday October 9th, 2009. Coach Bob Petersen is of course being invited along with the 22 or so players and/or family members of some of the deceased players. Please pass this news along as contact info such as address & phone #'s are needed still for some of the players or families.
