Well, it's settled! The Miller High School Class of 1999 10-year reunion is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th at the gorgeous Miller, MO public park (rain or shine)! We'll have grills and meats and cheeses, and you'll barely be able to contain your enthusiasm as old friends meet up to reminisce about the glories (and tragedies) a decade can bring! You'll be utterly amazed, doggedly reusing common phrases like "I can't believe how much you've changed!" and "You haven't changed a bit!" and "Why the heck did you marry that loser?" and "I can't believe how wealthy you've become! Can you spare a dime?" Seriously though, grilled burgers and hot dogs (and possibly brats) will be provided, but each and every one of us is invited to bring side dishes, drinks, snacks, desserts and as many buckets of fried chicken as we can cram between the kids in our minivans! There is a suggested donation of $5.00/person to help cover food costs, but we'll waive it if you bring some food! (We know what's important, right?) Anyway, it's an easy out if you don't feel like cookin'... You're welcome to bring your kids out (if you have some), but you're also encouraged to get out and escape from them for a bit, if you prefer! It is a park, after all--the milieu of any self-respectin' kid, in my humble opinion. After all is said and done, the legendary Miller Fall Festival awaits you, so save room for a fish sandwich and an Icee! Bring out your memories, bring your old pictures (we'll have a board to put them on), bring your new pictures (we'll have a board for those, too), bring your families and yourself to celebrate with the fabulous group of people that you were forced to spend the best years of your youth with--and ended up kind of liking anyway. Labor Day Weekend - Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 6:00pm @ the Miller Park.
