# * When Friday, July 6, 2012 at 12:00pm until Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 3:00pm # Description Dear Alumni & Guests, It’s that time again! You are cordially invited to the Miami Southridge Class of 1982's 30 Year Reunion. We will be joining the "Miami Southridge Class of 1980's Nifty Fifty Birthday Party and Reunion for a combined event!! This event is open ...to all alumni Classes 1978-1983. We have put together a fantastic get-away package at the Key Largo Resorts, located at Mile Marker 100, Overseas Highway, Oceanside, in Key Largo, FL. The property boasts 3 hotels, the Holiday Inn, the Courtyard by Marriott (formerly the Ramada Inn), and the... Marina Del Mar; all over look their scenic deep water marina. The weekend begins on Friday July 6th, 2012, with an informal poolside cocktail party at the Holiday Inn. Food and beverages can be purchased at the poolside Tiki bar. The party begins upon your arrival! On Saturday, we will have another informal all day gathering at the pool, as this was a popular happening at the 2010 and 2011 reunion. Fishing and sight-seeing excursions are also available on site. Beginning at 7pm, the Reunion will take place in the Tiki Area, next to the Pool Area, at the Holiday Inn. Entertainment will be provided by Lee Kibbey, a local DJ and Karaoke specialist. Dinner will be a southern style buffet of BBQ Ribs, chicken, and the all-popular pulled pork with all the fixings! All beverages will be included for the entire 3 hour event. The cost will be $120 per person. This price includes all taxes, gratuities and service charges as well as all administrative costs for the party/reunion. This event is strictly casual! Shorts and flip-flops are totally acceptable. The after-party continues at Coconuts, the on-site night club, until the wee hours of the morning. With the help of the Key Largo Resorts, we have secured 2010 room rates at the Holiday Inn and Marina Del Mar. The Courtyard by Marriott has raised their rates considerably higher. (They where the ones that originally reserved the rooms) All posted room prices will be honored. Remember you must call this number ONLY, and do not book online. Holiday Inn, Two Double Beds Island View NS $140.00 Two Double Beds Pool View NS $150.00 Marina Del Mar, All rooms booked under Nifty Fifty are 15% off the normal rack rate Courtyard by Marriott, Two queen beds Island View NS $160.00 Two queen beds Marina View NS $180.00 Please book your rooms early as more can be set aside as needed. Alumni are responsible for booking their own accommodations. A one time non-refundable registration fee of $20 per alumni will be required to reserve your space for this fabulous weekend getaway. Please register as soon as possible as space is limited due to being a "combined" event. Your $20 registration fee will be applied to the $120 cost this year. For example: cost is $120 - $20 reg. fee = $100.00 balance due. If you bring a guest, your balance will be $220. (Alumni $100 + $120 per guest.) Although the function costs have increased, we are still offering a less expensive weekend than they had at the 2010/2011 reunion. All monies must be received by May 15, 2012. The deadline for refunds will be May 31, 2012. Due to the reduced costs of the party/reunion, there will be absolutely no refunds after May 31, 2012! Please plan accordingly. Please help us conserve administrative costs by emailing your current physical address and email address to Cfsair@yahoo.com This will help reduce instances of returned snail mail. I will than mail or email you the necessary form to fill out and send to me for registration. Once you receive your reunion package (either via email or snail mail), please return your registration promptly. For your convenience, monthly or quarterly payments can be made (receipts will be emailed back to you on the email address you provide). PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! And we are getting a late start on this so time is of the essence! Get the word out and make your reservations NOW!!
