10/68 - 12/79: active duty stationed aboard NAS Los Alimitos, Los Alimitos, CA; NAS Mirimar, San Diego, CA; and NAS Dallas, TX. Was a Parachute Rigger working on pilot's personal flying equipment and removing and installing ejection seats in F-4 Phantoms and F-8 Crusader fighter jets. Was aboard two aircraft carriers--the USS Saratoga and the USS Lexington. And yes, parachutes I packed worked every time.
