Currently still in the Reserves-plan to retire in about a year and a half at the rank of a Navy CAPTAIN (O-6).

MASTER SERGEANT DARLENE D. TRYON was the Superintendent of Personnel and Readiness for Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She was directly responsible for all installation Personnel and Readiness requirements to include logistics, resourcing, budgeting, evaluations and statistical analyses. MSgt Tryon, a native of Mesa, Arizona is a graduate of Mesa High School. She entered active duty in November 1979. Prior to her current assignment, she has served as an C130 Aircraft Electrician; Chaplain Fund Bookkeeper; Chaplain Fund Custodian; NCOIC, Chapel Division; NCOIC, Financial Management; NCOIC, Chapel Three; NCOIC Chapel Resource Management; NCOIC Chapel Readiness; NCOIC Professional Program Support; NCOIC, Administration; Chief, Chapel Support; and Executive, Air Armament Center, Command Chief Master Sergeant. She has also served five combat tours as a security forces augmentee.
