Sure, you are not 70 yet but it’s never too early to start thinking about that birthday. How about you join us, your fellow classmates, in Mattoon to celebrate our mutual 70th birthday?
Are you ready for three days of having fun, reliving past good times and creating new ones? If so, mark your calendar for Aug. 2, 3, and 4, 2019 when the Class of 1967 will have its official 70th birthday party in Mattoon. Organizers have put together a diverse schedule of events, targeted to the interests and preferences of class members. Here’s what is on tap:
Friday, August 2

1:00 p.m. Pickleball at Lawson Park – just come!
6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Meet & Greet at American Legion. Dinner will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. for those who wish to purchase it.

8:30 a.m. Breakfast at Downtown Diner
10 a.m. Pickleball at Lawson Park
12:30 p.m. Lunch at Burger King
1:30 p.m. Tour of Library

Golf, pickleball, tour of the library, breakfasts, lunches, and pizza are a few of the items on tap for Mattoon High School’s Class of 1967 Birthday Party in Mattoon Aug. 2 - 4. The informal events will allow classmates, especially those from out of town, to return to familiar places and faces over the weekend.
Among the events are:
Friday, Aug. 2 from 6 – 10pm: Meet and greet at the American Legion. Dinner will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. for those who wish to purchase it.
Saturday, Aug. 3 from 6 – 10pm: class pizza party at VFW No Reservation Required, $10 per person
