I said no more announcements but this is important!
First the bad news. Unbeknownst to me the Long Island Boat Show is being held at TOBAY on Sunday, 9/28, the day of our post reunion event. Accordingly, our meet-up at the Salsa Shack is CANCELLED. But, we are going to do something much better.
Now the good news. Our fellow graduate, Wally Siller, is graciously inviting all reunion attendees to his beautiful home for a light brunch on Sunday, 9/28. So here are the details:
Date: Sunday, 9/28/14.
Time: 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Place: 120 Ocean Avenue, Amityville, NY 11701
Rain or shine.
Take Route 110 (Broadway) south to Montauk Highway (Merrick Road). Make a left and Ocean Avenue is about a block and a half on the right. Make a right onto Ocean Avenue and 120 is on the left at the second stop sign. Please obey the no parking signs.

Here are the details for the events for the weekend of our reunion.
Pre-Reunion Event: Friday, 9/26, starting at 7 p.m., at the Huntington Hilton Lobby Bar.
50th Reunion Party: Saturday, 9/27, 7:30 p.m., at the Memorare Club in Seaford.
Post-Reunion Event: Sunday, 9/28, starting at 2 p.m., at the Salsa Shack, located at TOBAY Beach on the bay side of the parking field. The Salsa Shack management plans to be open on this date but if the weather is bad they may not be. We will know more on the night of the reunion.
For the pre and post reunion events you are on your own for food and drinks. If you have any questions please contact one of us on the committee. We look forward to seeing you at these events.
It's not too late to decide to come to the reunion. Just send your check to Yvonne. Hope to see you soon.

We want and need more of you to attend this reunion. (Come on, it's 50 years!) We need to meet our minimum with the caterer. We're getting close but we're not there yet. For that reason we are extending the deadline for sending in your payment from August 1st to AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. So if you're planning to come, please send Yvonne your payment. If you're undecided, please come! We'd love to see you again. We're going to have a great time! Don't worry, we're having the event no matter what. But the more who show up the better it will be.
The Hilton, at 598 Broadhollow Road (route 110) in Melville, is giving us discounted room rates on 9/26 and 9/27 of $169 per night. If you wish to reserve a room there please call 1-631-845-1000. Mention the Massapequa High School Reunion. The discount code is MAS.
Also, please remember that we are having our pre-reunion meet-up in the lobby bar of this hotel on Friday night, 9/26, starting at 7 p.m. We recommend that you wear something blue and gold. But even if you don't we will have a table with an MHS sign on it so we can identify each other.
