Class of 2003:
The time for our 10 year reunion is rapidly approaching and the committee has finalized plans, paid deposits, and tried to incorporate the few suggestions that we have received. It is our hope that each of you are able to attend some, if not all, of the events that we have scheduled. In addition, we ask that all of you help to get the word out to class members that are not on our current Facebook page. Anyone who needs reunion information may contact me via e-mail at MHSClassof03@aol.com.
The events for Friday, October 18th, will be as follows:
(Times for each event are currently unavailable. I will update everyone as the information is made available. All fees for Friday evening are not included in Reunion Ticket Prices and will need to be furnished by participants at each event.)
Parade: Members of the class and their children will ride in the Homecoming Parade. We will be providing a truck and trailer with hay bales for our parade entry. We are also planning to have banners printed with our class information. This will be of no cost to participants. A meet up time and location will be announced when released from the high school planning committee.
Family Fun Activity at Play Station: Dana Tew Vlieg and Ashley Stone Cumbie have graciously offered to host our class members and their children at their local inflatable play and party business, Play Station. There will be no entry fee to participate and drinks, snacks, and pizza will be available for purchase. This activity will take place immediately following the parade and end in time for everyone to arrive at the Homecoming Game.
Homecoming Game: MHS vs. Walton High. I will be requesting reserved seating for our classmates and family members so that we may all sit together. Information will be provided as it is made available. The entry fee for recent football games has been $6.
After Game Meet-Up at Ten Buck Two: After the game, members of our class will meet up for an ADULT ONLY event at Ten Buck Two, a bar and grill, to get reacquainted. There is a $5 cover charge on Friday nights.
All Friday events will be casual attire.
The Class Reunion Party will be held on Saturday, October 19th, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Boatyard Restaurant in Panama City.
Tickets will be $55 each and will include a buffet dinner and two tickets for cocktails at the bar. This is an ADULT ONLY event and attire for the evening will be semi-formal/business casual. Boatyard has set the price of $50 a person. The additional $5 will cover decorations and a DJ. Below you will find payment options, the menu for the evening, and information about hotel accommodations. Boatyard is located at 5323 N Lagoon Dr., Panama City. I have spoken with the manager of the La Quinta Inn off of Thomas Drive and have blocked off rooms for our class. When registering, please request the rooms blocked for Marianna High School Class of 2003. If 12 or more rooms are reserved for members of our class by October 5, we will receive a group rate of $79.00 for a standard room. If less than 12 rooms are booked, the price per room will be $94.00. I encourage everyone to book rooms for the reunion early if you are choosing to stay overnight in Panama City. The Panama City Beach Seafood and Music Festival will be the same weekend as the reunion.
