Enlisted in 1967. Stationed in Italy, Vietnam Combat Veteran aboard the USS Chicago CG11, Served on board the USS Little Rock CLG-4 1969-1971 and 1973- 1976. Worked on Talos & Terrier Missile Systems, as CMA, and with NIS.

Enlisted just after HS graduation. Finished aviation electronic school in 1969 and assigned to various aviation duties and eventually assigned to VA-56 Attack Squadron based in Lemoore, Ca and then deployed to the aircraft carrier USS Midway in the Tonkin Gulf/ West Pac Cruise for 9 months working as a Plane Captain on the flight deck.
Eventually I was assigned to a pilot drug abuse counseling program as a drug abuse counselor for 1 year. Great job!! After being discharged from active duty in 1972 I then enlisted in the Naval Reserve CB's for 2 years.

My friend Bob Bonin were going to be drafted so we decided to enlist in the Marine's. I did it because at the time they were not drafting and if you volunteered and went to Viet Nam,a sure thing, you only had to do 2 years active duty. It was hell but I survived in one piece,mentally and physically. Funny thing is that I now live right across the water from Parris Island where I went through Boot Camp.
