Date: March 28, 2013 TO: LCHS Class of 1969 LCHS Class of 1970 LCHS Class of 1971 LCHS Class of 1972 LCHS Class of 1973 From: Class Reunion Organizer for the Class of 1971 SUBJ: Combined 5 year Reunion As you know, after the 40th reunion of the class of 1971, mention was made of a combined reunion. I have been working to put this together, and please forgive me for the length of time getting information to all of the classes. The dates have been set, June 21st, June 22nd, and June 23rd. See the information below. Forward any questions or concerns to the email address at the end of this information. Multiple activities have been planned to ensure there is something for everyone. It is not mandatory for everyone to attend all activities, pick and choose as you desire. Below is a list and cost for each activity: 1. The Meet and Greet will be held on Friday evening starting at 7 p.m. at Bunkers Sports Café in Leesburg, VA, located at 510-1 E. Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176. There will be a cash bar. Lite finger foods will be served. Cost for the Meet and Greet will be $15.00 per person. There will be a designated area for the group with lite finger foods. 2. On Saturday, starting at noon, a picnic will be held at a local park in Leesburg, VA. The cost of the picnic will be $19.00 per person. There will be music, food, games and door prizes. There is also a plan to have a cheer leader contest. Yes, we are asking the cheer leaders from each class to get together plan a cheer and there will be judges. The class winning the contest will receive a trophy. 3. On Saturday evening, there is a dance planned at the Historic Carradoc Hall at Holiday Inn Leesburg, located at 1500 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20175. The cost of the dance will be $20 per person. This will include music, dancing, lite hors d’ oeuvres and will start at 8 p.m. and end at midnight. There will also be a cash bar and a complimentary champagne toast. 4. On Sunday, June 23, a brunch has been planned. The brunch will start at 11:30 a.m. The brunch will offer a seasonal fresh fruit display, assorted breakfast breads and muffins, jam and butter, scrambled eggs, crisp bacon and sausage, breakfast potatoes, assorted juices, coffee, hot tea and water. The cost for the breakfast will be $24 per person. In negotiating the cost for each event, we have worked to keep costs as minimal as possible. In today’s economy, Carradoc Hall’s bid was the more reasonable fit for the plans of the reunion. For further information, please send your contact information to LadyEm0613@verizon.net.
