About Me Of course I am NOT Amber, .. Amber was AMAZING though, and she deserves to be here... The main reason I've put her name up here is in hopes that I might find someone with a yearbook (or more) with some pictures of her. I don't have any (but the obit pic you see on this profile of which was sent in an email to me. Other than that [nothing], and I can't see her face anymore). I don't want Amber's Legacy to only be what happened. She was more than that!! I was a little kid (probably weird at that [really no doubt]). She'd walk me to and from school (Garfield) every day (I'm assuming when she was in 7th grade), and after school, she would let me set in her Grandmother's house and watch Cartoons while she did her homework. On the weekends, I'd be over at her house hanging out with her some more. Some of you might remember some funky looking little boy that was always tagging along with her (to and from school) .. if so, that was me. One of many nice memories with here: I remember sitting in her house one afternoon after school, she was doing her homework (like I said before) once .. she was amazingly sweet and nice to me (as well as VERY protective of me), and was more like a second mom (my mom and family were a bit checked out at the time), and I responded to her and just gravitated towards her!! Me, .. I didn't mind anyone, but I minded her (that's how much I loved and respected her) ... like I said, she was like a mom to me, and I loved and respected her like that ... But yeah, this memory I have ... she was sitting there behind me letting me watch (because they had Cable - wink) USA Cartoon Express while she did her homework. Her Grandpa .. he was grouchy, .. I heard him ask her loudly (behind me), "Why does he (me) always come over here?" (He asked it really mean and nasty like) .. It stung pretty good, so much I pretended not to hear it .. and she in the snap of a finger took all of that sting away and responded, "Oh Grandpaaaaaa .. he has no friends because they all moved away..." But yeah, ... there's a whole lot more to Amber ... but that's just one of my memories with her in a nutshell. But okay, .. back to the pictures. If anyone has any of her, I'd be so grateful if you could scan them or something so t...(read more)
