Class of 1959 60th Year Reunion update.
Folks:
As you know, we lost a valuable reunion organizer/committee member with the passing of Eloise Messer. Also, Jimmie Thompson wants to give someone else the opportunity to excel as Chairman of the Committee (Our hats off to Jimmie for “Chairing” two of the last three reunion committees. He did a great job!)

Good news! Larry Cook, 4751 Robert C. Byrd Dr, Beckley, WV 25801, 304-763-7793, ltcook41@outlook.com has stepped forward and volunteered to function as Chairman of the upcoming 60th Year Reunion. He is in the process of forming a committee.

The reunion events will be held at the Logan Country Club at Chapmanville.
Larry has made tentative reservations for the reunion to be held on July 12-13, 2019 at the Logan Country Club, in Chapmanville. The anticipated cost is $60-70 per person (additional contributions will be gladly accepted).

Tentative plans are for a, 2-day format: Friday, July 12 will consist of registration, socializing, oldies & goodies music, and heavy houre doers. Saturday, July 13 will consist of a breakfast at 9:00 am at the Central Baptist Church followed by a memorial service for departed classmates. We will then reconvene at the Logan Country Club for a group picture at 5:00 pm (the photographer will be available for a group and individual pictures until about 6:30 pm). Art 7:00 pm, there will be a dinner, dance, combined with favors and gifts for participants.

We will be providing a detailed letter at a later date to all classmates with a known mailing address or e-mail address as we progress in our planning.

Planning for a reunion is a difficult task, given our age, health factors, and difficulties in travel by some classmates. So please, get the word out and let’s all make this reunion another success.

We realize July is a long way off, but, it would be nifty if we could get some type of up-front, “head count” of those that are planning to attend. Please drop us an e-mail or reply on FACEBOOK if you are planning to attend.
