Honored Military Alumni
CSM Robert Taylor Class of 1983
Army, 20+ Years (Graduated in 1983) Rob Taylor earned the highest enlisted rank in the Army Command Sergeant major (CSM). He was handpicked to stand up the newest brigade as part of the Army's modular unit transformation. As the CSM for 6th Squadron 8th Cavalry, he deployed his unit to Iraq and trained the Iraqi 4th brigade, so they could assume the security of the Green Zone (political center). He has numerous awards and accomplishments. He graduated from the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy class 52, graduated with a bachelor's degree from Excelsior University. CSM Taylors awards include Legion of Merit, Bronze star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service and many other awards. He is currently the Junior Reserve Officer training program (JROTC), at Austin E. Lathrop High School in Fairbanks Alaska. He received the BP Teacher of Excellence for the school year 2010 - 2011. When asked about his teaching, he stated it all about giving back to the community. He volunteers at many organizations to include; his church, Boy Scouts, hunters education program, Ice Alaska, Purple Heart, VFW, and serves other organizations.
Dean (Tom) Scow Class of 1974
Navy, 20+ Years Active duty: 1982-1994; 2002-2003; Medical Officer Reserves: 1978-1982; 1998-present Deployed; 1) Gulf War/ Desert Storm; 6th Marines, Battalion Surgeon. 2) Guantanamo Bay Cuba; Fleet Hospital 20, Medical Director. 3) Humanitarian missions - Thailand (2), Cameroon, Timor L'este. Current billet: Medical Officer, 4MARDIV, 4th Medical Battalion, Surgery Company Bravo.

Air Force, 20+ Years Chief Master Sergeant
Jamie Devitt-Chacon Class of 1985
Coast Guard, 20+ Years Served 20 years, 5 months in the U.S. Coast Guard. Retired from service in Sept. 2007 as a Chief Petty Officer, Public Affairs Specialist.
Ronald G. Lake Class of 1971
Army Reserves, 20+ Years Served in U.S. Coast Guard from 1971 to 1975 and did two tours in Vietnam. In 1976 I joined the Army Reserve 104th Infantry Training Division and worked my way up to Brigade Headquarters and oversaw a section in the S-4 area. I retired in 1994 as a E-8 Master Sergeant in a E-9 slot when the Army Down sized from 4 to 2 Brigades and later to only one. Remained in retired reserves until 2013. I am a member of the retired 104th Div. Timber Wolfs and a honorary of the U.S. Coast Guards Chiefs Assoc.
