The 2nd organizational meeting was another planning success! Those attending were Beverly Broussard Wilson, Linda Champagne Johnston, Randy Booth of Alexander City, AL, Joey Mayers, Cheryl Jacob Sonnier, June Robert Gardiner, Connie Duhon Conditt, Linda Jo Prejean Hargrave, Linda Durst Battaglia, Jenny Chandlet Tucker, Linda & Pete Louviere, Lynda Reynolds Landreth, Sandra Cade Guidry and Charlotte McMinn LeBlanc. Lafayette High School Class of ’65 - 45th Class Reunion......Here’s the Scoop and We Hope You’ll Come! Date: Friday, July 2 – Saturday, July 3, 2010 Host Hotel: Lafayette Hilton & Towers, 1521 West Pinhook Road, Lafayette, Louisiana. We have arranged a special room rate for this event. To reserve the special hotel room rate room at the Lafayette Hilton & Towers, you MUST call 1-800-HILTONS only. The rate is $79.00 + tax/night ( two double beds) and $89.00 + tax/night (one king bed). This rate will be honored for three (3) nights prior and three (3) nights after the function. To receive this rate, you must identify yourself as “A Member of the LHS - Class of '65 Reunionâ€. Deadline for receiving this special rate is Friday, June 18, 2010. Functions: Friday, July 2, 2010-Informal Meet & Greet - Serrano’s, 3151 Johnston Street (across from Judice Inn where the old Twin Drive Inn was located). Time: 7 p.m. – ‘til Dutch Treat Chairperson: Connie Duhon Conditt Saturday, July 3, 2010-See Lafayette by Trolley Meet at Lafayette Hilton Hotel Parking Lot 8:45 a.m. for a two hour tour of Lafayette Cost: $15.00/person. Pre-registration reservations required. To book Trolley, we must have 34 paid participants. Deposit is required that is non-refundable and they only have one air-conditioned trolley, so we need 34 folks interested in Seeing Lafayette by Trolley to make this optional side trip! An air-conditioned trolley along with soda and water will be provided. Chairperson: Jenny Chandler Tucker Informal Lunch Gathering - Judice Inn located at 3134 Johnston Street Time: 11:30 a.m. Dutch Treat Chairperson: Beverly Broussard Wilson Dinner Buffet & Dance - Lafayette Hilton & Towers Vermilion Ballroom Time: 6:30 p.m. - Meet & Greet 7:00 p.m. - Dinner Buffet Served 8:15 p.m. - Class Picture 8:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Dance to music provided by a D.J. Pre-Registration Cost: $50/person PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 1st! Door Registration Cost: $60/person (If you elect Door Registration, you are not assured the dinner buffet due to the three day prior menu guarantee in accordance with the hotel policy). Dress attire for the weekend is business casual. A Class Directory will be compiled and is included in the registration fee. Non-attendees may purchase a Class Directory for $10.00 charge including shipping. Photographer will be selling ($25.00) the 8x10 Class Picture Saturday night. You will receive the picture Saturday night.
