Class of 1963
Air Force, 20+ Years
Started out at Tech School, Lowery AFB. Co trained on Minuteman Re-Entry Vehicles and went to F.E. Warren, Cheyenne Wy. Cross trained into Munition Loading and went to Kinchloe AFB, Mi. Sent to Bien Hoa AB, SEA for 1 year. Came back to states to Cannon AFB, NM, Went to Bitburg AB, Ger for 3 yrs and got to see a lot of Europe. Came back to states and cross-trained to become Def. Aerial Gunner on B-52 Bomber at Castle AFB, Ca. Finished school and went to Wright-Patterson AFB, Oh. While there went TDY to Guam and U-Tapao Thailand. Flew 46 combat missions over SE Asia. Returned to states and was sent to Castle AFB, Ca. as instructor (in-flight & academic) Sent to March AFB, Ca. until they got rid of D Model airplanes (Flew in aft end). Went to Barksdale AFB, La for last 7.5 years until retirement in Apr. 90. Came back to Ca.

Served 8 years as an Infantry officer. First 4 years were served at Ayers Kaserne, Federal Republic of Germany. Served last 4 years at Ft. Bennington, GA. Commanded Infantry and Armor Companies. Served on the faculty at the US Army Infantry School.
