Michael served in the 3d Infantry Division, 101st Airborne Division, 82d Airborne Division and the 1st Infantry Division. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2002-2003, 2006-2007 and 2010-2011. He deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2008-2009.
