Folks, To date we have 85 confirmed attendees for Saturday's event at the Renaissance hotel. That number is comprised of 57 graduates and 28 guests. We have communicated twice to graduates for whom we have an email address, providing reunion details and asking that they provide a $50 per person deposit as soon as possible. We expect the total cost for Saturday night to be about $100 per person. We are missing email addresses for quite a few of you on this site. For those of you who've indicated an interest in attending but have not yet provided an email address, the following is what has been emailed out recently: You’re receiving this email because you’ve shown interest in attending JFK Class of 1968’s 50th Reunion. The reunion will be held the weekend of September 14, 2018 and will include the following activities:

Friday September 14:
- 4:30 – 6:30 Get together at the Iselin Knights of Columbus (catered w/cash bar)
- 7:00 – JFK vs Colonia football game at Kennedy – Honor our undefeated football team

Saturday September 15:
- 6:00 – 10:00 Renaissance Hotel Banquet Hall in Iselin (Buffet dinner w/2 hour open bar)

Sunday September 16:
- 10:00 – Brunch at Harold’s Deli in Edison

A block of rooms will be set aside at the Renaissance Hotel at a discounted rate of $119 per night. However, these rooms will not be available until the end of January. We will let you know when they become available and provide a link enabling you to make the reservation online.

We signed a contract with the hotel and placed a deposit to hold the hall. We need to pay our next installment by February 1st so we are reaching out to you now to get a firmer grasp on the total number of people who will attend, and to request a deposit from those attending. We estimate the per person total cost will be approximately $100 and we are asking for a $50 per person deposit at this time. The estimated cost to attend the get together at the Knights of Columbus before Friday’s football game is $15. No deposit is needed for this.

Please respond to this email by January 5th and let the committee member know the following:
- If you plan to attend Friday’s get together at the K.O.C. and if you’ll be bringing a guest(s).
- If you plan to attend Saturday’s banquet and if you’ll be bringing a guest(s).

If you will be attending please send a check for $50 per person made out to “JFK Class of 1968 Reunion” to Bill Moorhead at 19 Sunset View Road Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889. If you’d prefer you can send the deposit using PayPal to bcmoorhead@comcast.net. If using PayPal please make sure to use the “Sending to a friend” option. Please forward your deposit no later than January 15, 2018.

We’ve communicated this reunion on Facebook, Classmates.com and on the John F Kennedy Memorial High School Alumni site. To date we’ve only received email addresses for 100 classmates out of 587 graduates. If you know other classmates who might be interested please reach out to them with this information and ask them to forward an email address to Joel Greenwald at grandpatoys@gmail.com.
