Navy Reserves, 20+ Years Served with NMCB17 for 21 years before retiring. Had one tour in Iraq in 2008 stationed Camp Fallujah.
Christopher Rew Class of 2003
National Guard, 7 Years Flight Medic with C Company 2nd of the 211th avition battlion. Afghanistan tours in 2010-2011 and 2012-2013.
Clarke Barnes Class of 1960
Marine Corps, 20+ Years Served 5 years active duty including a tour in Vietnam and 2 years in Iwakuni Japan. Then completed 23 years in the Marine Corps Reserve. Retired Colonel in 1995

Air Force, 20+ Years Civil Engineering, Iraq, Kuwait. Serving in the reserves now.

Navy, 4 Years On USS San Marcos LSD-25 as a Radioman. Visted Several Med. Sea Ports, Also Cuba Porto Rico, Greenland and Artica. Shore duty in New Orleans as Comm Supvr
Gene Oathout Class of 1949
Air Force, 8 Years Was an Intercept Director at the 788th AC&W Squadron in Waverly, Iowa. Also had time as radar observer in two-place jet interceptors. Left as Captain.
Jeff Panknen Class of 1980
Air Force, 8 Years Served five years as a carpenter and 3 years as the Supervisor of the Correctional Custody program.

Navy, 20+ Years Naval Aviator: Overseas duty in Alaska, Japan (2), Philippines, Thailand, Iran, Belgium; Shore duty in CA (3), RI, HI, Wash DC (2), MD (Naval Air Test Pilot)
Jim Wells Class of 1959
Air Force, 4 Years Communications Intelligence. Served in Crete and Turkey.
Keith Tuttle Class of 1966
Marine Corps, 3 Years radio operator, served in Viet-Nam with combat engineers during 4 major operations in 1968-1969
Mark D. Wilson Class of 1964
Army, 6 Years Viet Nam era veteran from 1970-72. Trained as a Medical Corpsman and Operating Room Specialist. Served with the 7th Evacuation Hospital,(7th Medical Brigade USA Europe), in Darmstadt, Germany in a MUST (Mobile Unit Surgical Transport) unit and in Frankfort, Germany at the US Army General Hospital. At age 36, enlisted in the Iowa National Guard in Iowa City, Headquarters, 109th Medical Battalion, and served four years, 1983-87, as an assistant operations sergeant. Awarded the Iowa National Guard Commendation Medal for meritorius achievement, Army Service Ribbon, and Professional Leadership Ribbon.

Air Force, 20+ Years EC-130 pilot, 41st Electronic Combat Squadron DMAFB,AZ. 485th Tactical Missile Wing. Florennes BAF, Belgium. 1013th Combat Crew Training Squadron, PAFB, CO. HQ Air Force Space Command, PAFB, CO. HQ Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center. KAFB, NM Ret 1996.
Marv E Keefer Class of 1954
Army, 20+ Years "Most Unhappiest DRAFTEE Ever!!!" But later decided to stay. Served as: Enlisted; Warrant Officer; & Commisioned Bands Officer (Supervised 18 bands); Commandant, U.S. Army School of Music (two tours); Chief, Army Bands (Pentagon, two tours, 300 Bands); College Band Director (West Point Military Academy Band Performed countless ceremonies and concerts, including at Carngie Hall, recordings, etc.) plus non-bands service in Viet Nam. Honor Selectee to attend the prestigious Command and General Staff College. Retired with 30+ years service.

Navy, 4 Years Far East for most of deployment. Quartermaster and Signalman
Michael A Fink Class of 1964
Air Force, 5 Years Transport pilot. Primarily the Pacific Theater. Most missions transitted through Southeast Asia. Also European Theater, to include Isreal in 1973. Missions involved passengers, military resupply, airevac, and Vietnam POW repatriation.
