About Event
The Oldfield Beach shelter has been secured for the entire day from Sunrise to Sunset in the name of Dwight Reed (Jane Cooper Reed's husband) NO alcohol is permitted in state parks. Please bring a box lunch and a lawn chair. Your reunion committee has decided due to the increase in Covid cases to hold our reunion at an outdoor venue. The class photo will be taken around 5:30 and the cost is $10.00 per photo. Please return a check with your reservation payable to ILHS Class of 1965. The photographer is from Kenton. He will go to his gallery and return in approximately an hour with copies of the class photo, so please make an effort, if attending, to remain until the photographer has returned with the copies of the class photo. Water, soft drinks and tea will be provided. Hope to see you on September 25th.

To Whom it May Concern...........My name is Jodi (Bechtel) Prater. I would like to attend the reunion on the 25th at Oldfield Beach in place of my brother, Herbert S. Bechtel. Most of you know he was killed in Vietnam on Aug 25th, 1966. What most of you don't know is that he was nominated by the only 4 of the surviving platoon members and the commanding Lt. Col. for the Medal of Honor. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross instead, the nations second highest award. My family is working to get this changed and would like the opportunity to give you information on how we may accomplish this if you are willing to help us. Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I sincerely appreciate it if you would rather I not attend.
