Joined the Air Force as an Arabic Linguist. Spent 18 months at DLI in Monterey, CA. Contrary to popular belief, Arabic is hard ;). Subsequently cross-trained into Vehicle Operations/Dispatch and was stationed at the 1849th EIS at McClellan AFB in Sacramento, CA. Got out and spouse was transferred to Naples, Italy where we spent 4 years. Transferred to Elkhorn Communications Site, a GSU of Offutt AFB in '97 and we've been here since.

I'm what's called Active Guard Reserve, which means I'm active duty, working for the Army National Guard. I've been all over the world, including one tour in Iraq. Currently, I'm the commander of the 91st Civil Support Team, which is a homeland defense asset, supporting local responders when dealing with terrorist use of chemical, biological, or radiological weapons.
