I signed up to be a cook but when i got to Fort Lewis, i was assigned to a Military Police unit. My commander decided i was a better MP than cook so that's what I was for 7 years. I served two tours in Iraq. I got out at the rank of Sergeant.

Served two tours in Iraq; was a Battle Captain, Company Commander, and then later worked in my functional area as a Public Affairs Officer; retiring out of 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Fort Carson, CO

I served active duty 4 yrs & the remainder Army Reserve. It allowed me to see a lot of our beautiful country & a little outside. Mainly, i served my country & it helped me get my degree. i'd serve again if they'd take an old lady. :-)

MSgt Pyle retired after 24 years of service... 1986 to 2010 (Operations Desert Shield, Storm and Calm, Deny Flight and Operation Iraqi Freedom to name a few!) He was stationed overseas in the United Kingdom, Japan, Republic of Korea & Spain as well as Stateside in Arkansas, Washington State, Idaho & Colorado. His final position before retiring was as the 21st Force Support Squadron, Sustainment Services Flight Superintendent.
