On active duty stationed in Guam, Cubi Point in the PI, DaNang, Vietnam, Atsugi and Misawa Japan. As a reserve officer served in NAS Saginala Sicily, NAS Patuxent River MD, NADC Johnsville PA, and NAS Willow Grove PA. Retired in 1998 as a commander.

As a Lieutenant Colonel, commanded the 328th Quartermaster Detachment, and after mobilization, deployed the unit to Iraq from November 2004 to October 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, overseeing the petroleum resupply operations throughout Iraq. Served a second tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from August 2006 to February 2007, overseeing the deployment of units from Kuwait to Iraq and the redeployment of units from Iraq to Kuwait and back to the United States. Retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, Quartermaster Corps, on July 17, 2007 after 29 years of combined active duty and reserve duty service.
