About Me I love to sing and I'm pretty good at it, I've even won a few competitions and some small trophies years ago. I used to sing in church, (praise team and choir soprano soloist) and around my old community.I love jazz,R&B, Neo soul and especially black gospel music. I auditioned for my college chorus in 2004 and was accepted. That was a big deal to me because it included a trip to Venice and I aced it but life happens and I moved home to my birthplace near Fort Knox to take MY life back. I also love to read and write poetry. Poetry is a great outlet for me and oh so therapeutic. I started writing poetry about age 9-10 and it's amazing to see what happens when you can search deep within, being honest with your soul, writing it down and bringing your hearts thoughts to fruition. Besides my educational (Arts Degree in HMS) and career background in Human Services, I'm also certified in MH counseling, specializing in de-escalation of traumatic situations, ptsd and people with mental/intellectual disabilities. I have a Real Estate(love it)and Director of Activities Professional certification(hate it). I worked for Louisville Metro Corrections downtown inside the jail and have been Correctional Officer at Central State Hospital. I like diversity, I love collecting a pay check and I'm not afraid to work. I hate drama, especially from whiney, naggy women always complaining; Can you not find something to be happy about?, I can't stand one uppers and ppl always trying to keep up with the Jones'.Life is not a competition! I can't stand users, fakes, liars, posers, playing games; I hate other women hating on me for no reason, Women should build each other up and be supportive,(geez), but my biggest pet peeve is a selfish person. Oh my gosh!!! You don't want me to go there. I measure MY success differently. I'd rather be in God's will for my life and love what I do everyday...even when I struggle, than to be stuck in a decent job but dread going to it everyday bc of unethical work practices. I am pursuing a call in my life and not interested in melancholy monotony of just existing. On 2-5-15 at 1:26p while working, a car accident almost took my life but God saved me. I walked away with bruises and it changed my life. So now I'm getting rid of negative things in my life, taking a step back in my career to focus on living, following Gods direction better than before. ALL MEN DIE...BUT VERY FEW TRULY LIVE! I've learned that God wants our full attention and He will do anything to get it and sometimes even be at the cost of losing everything... including family. What else is there to do when everything is gone but to focus on God? Scary huh? But I walk in the F.O.G (Favor of God). He always takes care of me in every situation. He provides my needs and blesses me with the desires of my heart. And lately He's been moving me back to my hearts desire and passion for traveling in the mission field as a Humanitarian using my background in Human Services/Sociology. Im very excited because I just may have a new travel buddy..Mr. Coop deVille(Lee). Just got us a 65 Buick so we can be part of the Etown car cruise and got myself a Volvo sports w...(read more)
