Joe Updike and Judy Updike

Joe Updike (HHS '65) and Judy Neff Updike (HHS'66) celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 25th in Williamsburg VA. Joe and Judy are both retired and reside at Colonial Heritage in Williamsburg. Joe and Judy were married at the Church of the Brethren on South High Street in June of 1966.

Phillip Updike

Phillip Updike (HHS class of '66) is a Referral Agent with Harrisonburg Referral Realty, a division of Kline-May Realty in Harrisonburg. Phil moved to referral status on January 1, 2015 after 30 years as a full full time real estate professional. He began his career with an ERA franchise office in Harrisonburg in 1985. In 1991, he co-founded a RE/MAX franchise office on East Market Street in Harrisonburg and co-owned and co-managed the office for 20 years. He joined Kline-May Realty in the spring of 2013 and worked with the Harrisonburg Homes Team which is located in the former Wilson Jewelers building in downtown Harrisonburg. Phil continues with the Harrisonburg Homes Team as Senior Consultant. He is a former President of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Association of Realtors and a member of the HRAR Hall of Fame. He is active with the Shenandoah Valley chapter of SCORE (Service Core of Retired Executives) and with the JMU Life Long Learning Institute. Phil is married to Christina Beck Updike who is retired from James Madison University where she worked in the School of Art, Design & Art History as Visual Resources Specialist for 38 years. Phil and Tina reside in Massanutten Village just east of Harrisonburg. Phil is a long time car buff and purchased a 1964 Pontiac GTO in 2013, and attends area Cruise-Ins during the spring, summer, and fall.
