Alumna on cover of Women's Health magazine
Hello!
My name is Katie Yip and I am a Gunn HS alumna from 2007. I am writing to ask for Gunn HS's support as one of the 5 finalists, out of thousands of submissions, for Women’s Health magazine’s Next Fitness Star competition. As a finalist, I had the opportunity to be featured on the cover of the current July/August issue of Women’s Health as well as appear in a spread within the magazine to share my training background and philosophy.
The winner will be determined based on specific criteria by prominent figures in the fitness industry, but also with votes. And starting now, people can vote at www.thenextfitnessstar.com every 24 hours. Voting can be done on all social media platforms and web browsers (Facebook, Twitter, Google chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.). I am hoping to win the competition with my educational background, personality, integrity, and innovation, but also with Gunn HS's votes and support.
With that said, I would appreciate any and all votes you could submit!
Please feel free to visit my website www.katieyippilates.com and do not hesitate to reach out if you ever need anything and thank you so much for support. I appreciate your time!

Great Program for Palo Alto Students
A Paly graduate and current USC student is bringing a program to Palo Alto that caters to students' professional development. After her first year at USC, she recognized the lack of professional development within students and how many high schools are overlooking such education due to the strong emphasis on academics. She hopes to give our students a competitive advantage before they enter college and will be introducing Project SuitUp! this summer to the Bay Area. She strongly wishes to provide students with a necessary complement to their academic successes.
