Aviation Electronics Master Chief (AVCM), last duty assignment at the Pentagon as Resource Sponsor for all Navy and Marine Corps Aviation Technical Training schools. Sea duty assignments included 12 deployments on 7 different aircraft carriers. Last carrier asigned was the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65).

Retired in Virginia 1985 on Blue Mountain overlooking the Shendoah Valley, married to wife Linda 1977, 2 sons, 3 grand daughters. Love bowling and fishing. Have another home near Hot Springs, Arkansas on the Quachita river.

Working as contractor 1985 - 2008 supporting training development using Internet, Computers in an interactive environment.

I retired in 2001 and began contract work at Scott. Fully retired Feb 2020.

Angel Fire Memorial in New Mexico was built by Dr. David Westphall in memory of his son, 1st Lt. Vic Westphall, who was killed, along with 15 other Marines, on May 22, 1968. My name does not appear anywhere in the Memorial because I was still alive when it was all over.

Joined USMC immediately following graduation in 1954. Trained in San Diego, then shipped to Korea in support of the Marine Corps Infantry north of Imjin River in wire and radio communications. At Point Mugu, California served in military police. Honorable discharge 1960 and returned home to Grants Pass.

Electronic Warfare Technician retired in 1994 with the rank of Technical Sergeant. Was first assigned to 55th AMS at Offutt AFB, Ne would later be assigned in 1980 to the 81st CRS RAF Bentwaters/RAF Woodbridge UK then in 1983 following that assignment I would go to the 379th AMS at Wurtsmith AFB, Mi . I would return to Offutt AFB, Ne in 1985 being assigned to 55th AMS eventually assigned to the 55th OMS and then finally the 38th Reconnaissance Squadron which I would retire from in July of 1994.

Entered the USAF in April 1971. Served as Security Police/Military Working Dog Handler (Drug Detection and Explosive Detection) and later in my career was an instructor and Director of Operations for the Military Airlift Command Noncommissioned Officer Academy - West. Was stationed at Lackland AFB, Texas; DaNang AB and Phan Rang AB, Republic of Vietnam; Minot AFB, North Dakota; Korat RTAFB, Thailand; Aviano AB, Italy; England AFB, Louisiana; and Norton AFB, California. Retired in 1991 at Norton AFB.

Served as a physical therapist in the U.S. Army for 21 years, from 1994-2015. Served in multiple duty stations throughout the U.S. and deployed to Afghanistan on four occasions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Completed a sports residency at the United States Military Academy at West Point from 2004-2005 and returned to serve on the faculty of the program in 2011. Retired in 2015 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Now resides in New York, working at Columbia University.

I served 3 years in the Army as a Cryptologic Intelligence Analyst with the Army Security Agency (ASA). After a short time back in the beautiful but job challenged Rogue Valley I enlisted in the Navy, spending 17 years as an Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator (Acoustic) flying on the P3 Orion aircraft. I did 8 deployments with 3 different Patrol Squadrons participating in submarine tracking, surveillance, reconnaissance, search & rescue, humanitarian aid, and anti-drug flights. I am a qualified Naval Instructor serving one tour as an instructor and leading petty officer at the VP-30 replacement squadron in Jacksonville Fl. I finished my career as the Analysis Division Chief at COMPATWING 11 in Jacksonville Fl.
