Air Force, 7 Years

Served at Test Operations at Eglin AFB, Florida from 1967-69, 18 different types of aircraft which we tested new munitions on. Was a great first job in the air Force and being surrouned by such superb pilots and friends. Left there as an Air Operations Supervisor and transferred to Osan AB, Korea worked there in aircrew scheduling and coordinating cargo with various agencies around South Korea.
Korea to Laredo, Texas in 1970 working at Base Operations as Air Ops Sup/ Dispatcher. Laredo was an Air Training Command base where Air Force Pilots spent a year in the T-41, T-37, and T-38 Aircraft earning their Air Force Pilot Wings.
Next assignment 1971-1974 at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Tactical Air Command moved F-4's to South Carolina and we got state of the art F-111F models. Again I worked in Base Operations for about 6 months and then moved onto Wing Training. 366th TFW composed of 389th, 390th, 391st, Tac Fighter Squadrons.
It was here at Mountain Home that I left the Air Force due to health problems. But along the way but for 1 or 2 exceptions, they were a great bunch of people to work with and share our proffesionalism.
Mustered out as Staff Sergeant E-5, proud of it.

Air Force, 14 Years

Completed Basic training in 1995. I was a F-15 Crew Chief for 11 years being stationed at Mt. Home AFB, Idaho, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, and Eglin AFB, Florida. I have been to several countries and states, traveling with the jets to keep them maintained and flying. While I was at Eglin I made the move to Quality Assurance. My job was inspecting the other maintainers and the aircraft. Currently I am a Military Training Instructor (MTI) at Lackland AFB, TX. Being a drill sergeant and getting trainees through basic training seems to fit me well. I love to see their faces when they know they have accomplished a goal that they thought they would never try in their lives.
